How to Be the Best Homemaker
A Beautiful, Vibrant Home Doesn't Just Happen

A beautiful, vibrant home doesn't just happen. It must be visualized first. If you haven't envisioned where you are going, how will you ever get there?
Effective homemakers have a vision.
ROUTINE
Get Yourself Ready Every Day
You will be more productive when you get dressed and put a little makeup on and feel good about yourself.
Try to Wake Up Before the Rest of the Family
Getting up before your family will give you some headspace you didn't know you needed.
Create a Daily Rhythm
A daily rhythm is an intentional flow to your days.
Plan Out Your Days
Prepare and plan for the next day. Having a plan helps you to stay focused on the things you really want to get done that day.
CLEANING
We must talk about decluttering befoe we talk about cleaning. The less STUFF equals less to clean. Once your home is decluttered, it becomes much easier to clean.
Decide ahead of time what you will do with the things you are getting rid of. Have a box handy for donations, a bag for trash and a box for things that you can sell.
Tackle one room at a time. If you tackle everything at once, you will become overwhelmed.
Remember everything has a home. If it doesn't have a home or a place for, this is a sign it is time to get rid of it.

CLEANING TIPS

It only takes a few minutes and can really start your day off on the right foot.
Involve Your Kids
If your children are capable of helping with certain tasks, they should be included. Don't feel overwhelmed and do it all on your own. You don't have to. Children will learn the necessary skills and it will lighten your load.
Run the Dishwasher Every Night
Getting into this routine will save your dishes piling up and making your kitchen look messy.
Clean as You Go
If you are able to pick up as you go, it isn't so overwhelming at the end of the day.
Nightly Clean Up
Regardless of how much you are tidying throughout the day, there will likely be something to put away at the end of the day. Just 5-10 mins each night before you go to bed of a quick tidy will get your home ready for a good start the next morning.

Start a load in the morning and try and have it folded and put away by the end of the day.
GROWING FOOD
If you don't have a garden, here are some options for growing food in or around your home:
Grow Vegetables in Pots - Put plants in containers or posts around your home. This is a very easy way to get started.
Start Seedlings for Free - Save your own seeds from the things you are already eating. This is the best way to save money.
Why Gardening?
Growing your own food should be a top priority with the way the world has been lately.
Not only are you providing food for your family, you can teach your kids so much by gardening. Kids learn the value of food and the hard work that goes with it. This gives them responsibilities such as watering and tending to plants. This will also help give them some ownership over what they are growing. There is a better chance they will want to eat all the vegetables if they are involved in the process.

SELF CARE
Every good homemaker should know how to take care of herself. It may be reading, a bath or just sitting alone having a snack. Taking care of yourself is important.
Schedule Your Self Care Time
One thing I know is that if it's not on the schedule, it's probably not going to happen! When scheduling your week, be sure to put a spot in there for yourself (and for your man) so you can both have some alone time each week.
Unplug
Turn off the screens and give your mind some rest.

Read a Good Book or Listen to a Podcast
Even if it is only 10 minutes a day, this will help you recharge your battery.
Go to Bed Early
Turn off screens an hour before you go to bed. Read a book instead. This will help you fall asleep earlier.
Create Something
If you don't have a hobby, find one.
Eat Your Favourite Food
Nothing else needs to be said here. 🙂
Journal
Writing things down or brain dumping can be very therapeutic, epecially when you have a lot on your mind.
BUDGETING
A well-planned budget can help you achieve your goals to spend less, save more, and pay down debt. Creating a budget that emphasizes frugal living can not only help you meet your financial goals but can also help you minimize unnecessary expenses.
