January Wrap Up
I didn’t do great on January goals. But January was the longest year. I’ll be honest, I forgot what my goals were and didn’t keep them in the forefront of my mind. I will have to work on that for the next month.
Writing/ Reading
–Post weekly on Vocal (enter two challenges)
I did this! I managed to post (and even remember to post on the correct day!) I have most of the first half of the year planned, although I’m going to add in some challenges I think.
–Read daily on Vocal
This didn’t happen. I don’t know why, but I’m struggling to read on Vocal right now. I need to get myself into a routine and hopefully that will help.
–Write 250 words per day
I didn’t write 250 daily, but I did write almost every day and I made 250 more often than I didn’t.
–read and log daily
I did this! I’m on Storygraph and I completed the January challenge. I read 16 books for the month and I’ve even read some of the challenge books. I’m excited about completing these.
Life
–D&D 4 weekends
I… think I only made it to two. But one was canceled and one I just couldn’t do more people after spending the day at robotics.
–Hells Kitchen Jan 10
I got about halfway to Atlanta and got so sick. I made the decision to turn around and return home. Unfortunately they denied my request to have my ticket refunded since I didn’t go to the doctor.
–Clean up office
We’ll just say this didn’t happen.
–get back into an exercise program
This did not happen either.
–work on sewing projects (finish Christmas hats and R’s confirmation present)
I finished my hats and they’ll be mailed this week. I also finished R’s gift and she loved it! I have started making items for the market. We secured our space and I’m super excited to do it!
Work
–finish picture book inventory
I didn’t get far with this because I kept getting pulled for other things. I have hopes that things will be better in February.
–finish signage
I got some more of the signage done, but not all of it. I might make this a summer project.
–”cafe” for kids
This was fantastic! I actually describe what all happened and my ideas for doing this in the future in an upcoming post.
–You’ve Been Booked! for PreK, K, 1, 2, 3, 4
I didn’t get this started because again I kept getting pulled away. I have hopes that I’ll get it restarted in February.
–Set up Readathon, Literacy Night, and Read Across America week
Readathon paperwork has arrived (I finally finished my rewards, etc) and I will start the social media posts this week. Literacy night sign up is out. I need to remind people to sign up. I have everything set up for Read Across America, but need to start requesting people come in and read.
–work on lesson plans (Jan and Feb)
I got January planned and it went well. I need to finish up February, including making items for logs and also the research “paper”.

I admire people who can set their goals and achieve them. I'm mostly winging it, except for the important work deadlines. Great goals and achievements, Reb!
