Forget everything you know about your morning brew- this isn't just caffeine, it's an experience for your taste buds unlike any other. Naturally, this Author did a little digging. I was pleased to find that Qamaria Yemeni Coffee transports their beans from you guessed it- Yemen.

Once the beans are successfully transported, they are carefully profiled to craft a complimentary roast that pays homage to its Yemeni roots. Traditional blends are then curated to share the various ways that coffee is prepared across the villages of Yemen. Yemeni Coffee offers a unique flavor whether it is floral, fruity, or nutty.

Not only do the combination of flavors and unique brew send your taste buds soaring, but you can smell the aromas of the freshly brewed coffee from the street luring any coffee lover, in my case coffee fiend, into the coffee shop with minimal effort. The traditional Yemeni decor showcases earthy tones and cosy communal vibes, including my personal favorite, the wall portrait which completely captivates your attention as soon as you walk through the door. I myself have never visited Yemen, however, after tasting the traditional, earthy, and unbelievably smooth roast they have handcrafted through centuries, I've found that it has perfectly cultivated the Yemeni culture. With every sip, it feels as though you have been transported to country of Yemen.

It's so heartwarming to see the sharing of culture and traditions spread across the world. Like many cultures residing in the Middle East, coffee is a symbol of hospitality, respect, and well as social bonding. Coffee is often served when settling disputes, sealing business agreements, and helping to strengthen community ties. It is also served during happy occasions, such as engagements, weddings and other celebrations, as well as sad occasions such as funerals, and during the aftermath of war.

Yemen is continuously ravaged by an endless war that has devastated its people and the economy. Despite the difficult circumstances, Qamaria Coffee strives to produce conflict free coffee, and they work with local farmers in Yemen. Their coffee beans are organically harvested and processed using century old drying methods.

Qamaria Yemeni Coffee has successfully opened multiple locations in IL, currently in Chicago Ridge, Bridgeview, Lombard, and Aurora. There are also locations in Michigan, and California. Upon building their cafe franchise, they also have inspiring personal goals in mind.

Qamaria Coffee aims to strengthen the economy's stability through Yemen’s hard working farmers. This is achieved by engaging in relationships that generate multiple jobs to help support Yemeni families. Qamaria also aims to support artisans in Yemen’s future such as textile makers, architects, painters, poets, pottery makers, and beyond.

Qamaria carries a variety of coffees, teas, desserts, hot cocoa, refreshers, smoothies, and pastries. These are including but not limited to Espresso, Iced Qamaria Latte, Iced Pistachio Latte, Matcha Latte, Date Latte, Hot Rose Latte, Americano, Cappuccino, Macchiato, Araysi Yemeni Smoothie, Mango Smoothie, Strawberry Smoothie, Iced Cocoa, Sweet Tangerine Refresher, Hibiscus Refresher, Wild Peach Refresher, Honeycomb, Milk Cake, Croissant, Mamoul, Baklawa, Cheesecake, Danish, and much more.

I personally have not tried any pastries or desserts yet because a majority contain butter, milk or cheese. I do hope that in the near future Qamaria may introduce more vegan friendly middle eastern options such as dates stuffed with walnuts or almonds drizzled with honey, or perhaps a dairy free rice pudding or milk cake. That would be this author's dream.
