This is one of the latest dreams I’ve had which involves friends, people, location warping and fires. I don’t think it’s as bizarre as some of the other dreams I have had lately, but something still worth writing about. I’ve even been chatting to ChatGPT about my dreams and their responses help me process some of the informatio.

It starts off in a tiny bedroom, a single bed on the corner and a shelf of books and old VHS tapes. The plushies are piled beside the pillows and the lilac walls bring the contrast out. This was my old bedroom when I was a teenager. The TV with the video player on top of the table with the DVD player and PlayStation 1 attached to it.

I am sure the PS2 and GameCube were also attached to the TV also, just didn’t stand out much from this dream. I tend to have a lot of dreams based on my nana‘s old house and the layout remains unchanged from how I remember them when I was younger.

In the bedroom, I had a friend from America over. This friend has never left the US before, thus has never been to the UK. We became friends on a Pokémon forum many years ago. He was banned from that forum, but we still kept in touch. In fact some of our first video calls took place in my old bedroom. Me and the friend, were having fun and chilling, but we didn’t want anyone to know we were there. I am not sure why. It kinda reminds me of a scene in a old teen flick movie. We heard our relatives coming and we were trying to think of a way how to hide and stay quiet. The closet was too small for us both.

Then it suddenly warps us to North Carolina with his dad, and grandparents. I am not sure if his dad looks anything like the grey haired man with the thick trash I saw in the dream. When I told my friend about it, he said his grandparents from both side of the family died years ago. That isn’t the only thing that changes he goes from white American to a mixed race Indonesian with hair down to his knees.

Then we start walking to this coastal area. I have never been to Havelock but the place we were walking felt more like a picture of California. Full of big trucks, diners, shops, casinos and all that metropolitan bliss. It was a great walk we had. The air was clear and the summer dream was nice to think about. Everything seemed to be all right until a random red clock was dropped in the middle of the street. It made a ticking noise like a bomb. Nobody seemed fazed by the clock when it exploded and caught fire. I ran away, thinking I would be safe, until my dress caught fire.

I could not feel the heat or smoke. I still panicked but when I turned the corner, I saw a beach with water and I legged it as fast as I could. My friend was out of the picture after that as the waves hit me and my burning dress, that was when I woke up.

I was unsure how I felt after waking up. A part of me was relieved to be alive and neither burning from fire nor cold from the salty sea. Sad cause I was unsure how to interpret it. Confused cause it was another one of those dreams. I also felt unsettled cause I felt like I had so many other things I needed to do, but not enough time and energy to do them all.

Quite an interesting dream! My dreams tend to jump around a lot to. I think its important to pay attention to and record dreams as over time, there might be a connection between them.
