Speaking about people feeling like she isn't qualified to give relationship advice as a relationship therapist because her marriage didn't work, Blessing CEO said about it:
NINIOLA: A lot of people say that but I say that every client is not for me. I'm not for everybody, and number one, I'm very expensive and I'm very scarce. I don't like people around me funny enough, so before you come to me, that means that you have a problem. You have watched me for a while and you know my capacity.
Relationship therapy is a profession. It has nothing to do with your relationship and your personal life. It's like telling a doctor "do you have a child?" before you can help me give birth to my child? Or telling a reverend father "because you're not married, you can't wed me." Coaches don't play. So sometimes, you can be a coach and don't play. So because I'm not married does not mean I don't know anything about marriage. That is my profession, that is what I studied. So I can teach you about it if you are married.
A lot of people who are married don't even know jack about marriage. They will only tell you their experience which is their personal experience. But for me, I have studied different courses. If I'm talking to you, I'm not going to be personalizing my advice, I'm going to be generalizing.
And what I do when people come for counselling is to tell you the consequences of your action, then you make your decision. Because I feel like we're all old enough to choose. Na you choose the girl wey you wan marry, na you choose the girl wey you dey knack, so if you wan komot, na you go still use your leg komot.
