Incident My Husband Still Holds Against Me - Morayo's Story That's Causing Debate
What do you think?

There is a conversation causing debate right now, and it is quite an interesting one. The question for debate is: if you're a wife, and your husband is going to fight an unruly neighbor, should you stop your husband from fighting, or stand beside him and support in the fight against the neighbor? This conversation is happening because of a story that Your View correspondent Morayo shared on air today. Here is the story of what happened.

Speaking about the incident that her husband still holds against her, Morayo said:
MORAYO: My husband still holds this story against me every time we have a fight. So many years ago in our old house, my husband was trying to help a woman, one of our neighbors whose husband was not around. She was alone and she felt like one of the neighbors was always turning off generator, and the carbon monoxide was getting into her window. So obviously, she complained to us. My husband being the man he is tried to appeal to the other neighbor who was doing that. But then after many appeals, he wasn't listening.
One day the lady came to our house and she was crying. Her son couldn't sleep. He was coughing all night. So my husband out of anger turned off the man's generator. The man comes out, he's angry, he's fuming, and then they started throwing punches. Now, as a wife, yes, you're right because you're trying to fight a good cause. But you turning off the man's generator without his permission or even knocking on his door, I think that's also wrong.
So my husband and the man were trying to fight, and I'm holding my husband saying "stop it". And till tomorrow, my husband will remind me of how I was telling him in front of everybody to "stop it" when he was trying to fight. He felt that at that moment, I should have stood by him and not said a word, and just fight for him. But I'm thinking you're also wrong for turning off another man's generator. I mean, yes, the man is wrong and we'd tried to appeal to him, but come on, let us be civil here.
So as a woman, he expected me to not say anything. All he wanted was for me to just stand by him and be fighting the man on his behalf.
Yeni Kuti, another panelist was on Morayo's husband's side saying:
YENI KUTI: To be very honest, if I was your husband in that situation, I would fight you. Because me, I would help him. We will throw punches together. We will fight that fight together.
