Nigeria is still mourning the death of the late actress and singer, Onyeka Onwenu. Referred to as the 'Elegant Stallion', Onyeka Onwenu was a woman who was a trailblazer and an inspiration for so many people, especially, women pursuing a career in entertainment today. Since Onyeka's passing earlier in the week, a number of pictures have been emerging and are going viral for different reasons.

These pictures of a much younger Onyeka Onwenu have been going viral because a whole lot of people, especially older people, have been using this in their remembrance posts of the late tour de force. It has also been going viral because people have been looking at it and seeing how time can fly by, especially because for a lot of younger people, they only remained Onyeka in her older ages and are wowed to see her at ages that they also are right now.

These two images are going super viral especially the one above because people are drawing comparisons of how Onyeka looks and what she's wearing to young singer of today, Ayra Starr. Ayra is often criticized for her short skirts and gowns and a tweet saying "But them wan hold Ayra Starr for neck 😔" in response to this picture of Onyeka taken in the 1970s is getting people talking. Just like the earlier pictures of Onyeka in her younger ages, these pictures too are making people realize that Onyeka was in fact also a babe. Because so many people, especially the young ones, remember her only in her older years, these pictures are really wowing people and painting Onyeka Onwenu in a whole new way in their minds.

These pictures of Onyeka Onwenu's single cover for "One Love", her album cover for Onyeka, and this picture of her performing to a full crowd in 1984 are going viral for the reason that many people, especially the young ones, didn't know or comprehend how popular Onyeka Onwenu's music was at one time. This picture of her performance took some people by surprise and so people have been referring these surprised people to the music of Onyeka. As much as Onyeka was known more for her acting career especially in her later years, she was a renowned singer too.

These images showcasing Onyeka Onwenu at her final performance have gone viral for obvious reason. They are the last images that we have of the icon, doing what she loved to do and was very gifted at.
