Right now, there are ongoing protests happening in the nation and amidst all of it, Nigerian celebrities are speaking. Of all of them, here are 10 people's posts that are gaining attention.

1. DJ CUPPY

DJ Cuppy is praying for peace in the country.

DJ CUPPY: Dear Lord, please bless Nigeria with peace, unity and prosperity. Guide our leaders and protect our people. Let your love and grace fill our nation. Amen. #IJN

2. BURNA BOY

Burna Boy is washing his hands off this year's protests.

BURNA BOY: The fight in me died on this day [10/10/20]. Ogun go doggy anybody wey call my name this time around. No politician has ever given anything. Go ask wike where the land him give me or which money him give me. You think I'm your faves.

3. TONTO DIKEH

Tonto Dikeh is saying there's no need for protest because "the country is working."

TONTO DIKEH: Statistics don’t lie: everyone is working to get this country to where we want it to be. One thing about Nigerians is that if they don’t like you, nothing you do will ever be good enough for them. Let’s not deny this glaring truth. Stay safe and make wise decisions always.

4. VECTOR

Meanwhile, rapper Vector is telling celebrities not to take sides against the reality of the people.

VECTOR: To the celebrities taking sides against the reality of their own people/fans, it may be best to repent before you become the only reachable option if the hardship doesn’t stop. #stopsupportingbadgovernance

5. SUSAN PETERS

Actress Susan Peters is calling out the Nigerian police.

SUSAN PETERS: Nigerian Police , your job is to ensure peaceful gathering. Why are you all of a sudden assuming protesters are violent? So far it has been peaceful, Mr President should call an emergency press conference and address the nation .

6. LAYCON

And musician Laycon is also calling for an end to bad governance.

LAYCON: And to the security personnels intimidating peaceful protesters… you’ll go back home and meet your family at home… intimidate them when they complain about the hunger and hardship that the protesters are complaining about. The Government’s actions or inactions is a direct protest against our well being, our survival, and our livelihood… things are hard, people are hungry, people are barely making ends meet. This why we are also protesting !!! They’ve said the youths are unserious. Well… here we are, SERIOUSLY DEMANDING for better governance, better leadership, a better life.

7. MR MACARONI

Mr Macaroni too is calling out the misplaced priorites of Nigerian police writing:

MR MACARONI: Never ceases to amaze me that you would rarely find the police preventing citizens from being harmed or find them at locations where properties are being destroyed or looted. But you will find them in their battalion; arresting, beating and throwing tear gas at those walking peacefully on the streets, singing and carrying placards. So what ever happened to the primary responsibility of protecting lives and properties? Everybody know Wetin dem dey do.

8. Uzor Arukwe

Actor Uzor Arukwe too is also fighting against bad governance saying:

UZOR ARUKWE: The fight to #EndBadGovernaceInNigeria isn’t a fight for one person or a tribe. This is a fight for one Nigeria & one nation! Nigeria must be great again in our time. It’s ridiculous that the Nigerian dream is now to graduate and japa. If we had a working system, our best graduating students won’t have to leave their country for greener pastures. This anyhowness from the government must end now! #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria

9. JEMIMA OSUNDE

Actress Jemima Osunde is laughing at a man that was paid to say "No Protest" but then started protesting because of hunger.

10. Chidi Mokeme
