JOURNEY OF BYSOS

India is the fifth-largest economy in the world as of 2019 and the Stock market is sometimes considered as the lead indicator of a country’s economy. However, only 2% of the Indian population invest in stock markets, i.e., out of 136 and odd crores of people, the overall penetration is just about 2.78 crores.

The populace of India lacks enthusiasm for investing in equity markets as there is,

● Lack of trust - with the financial scams in its history

● Lack of knowledge - on how the stock markets function

● Lack of capital - belief that investments have to big

● Other ‘arguably safe’ investments and

● Aversion to taking risks

But, for India to be a developed country, it needs to have strong financial markets. With the concerns of the populace in acknowledgment and the need to take a stand towards the development of the country, two Indians Mr. James Peter John and Mr. Kishore Mohankumar came up with an amazing idea - BYSOS.

ABOUT BYSOS

BYSOS standing for Bring Your Skill On Stock is a Mysore based firm from India that started in 2019. It is a stock fantasy gaming platform that allows its users to play a fantasy game based on the real-time stock market and makes them competent enough to learn and earn from it. It has 1000+ users to date and is endeavoring to make the user experience better and knowledgeable.

HOW IT ALL STARTED?

BYSOS was founded by Mr. James Peter John (CEO) and Mr. Kishore Mohankumar (COO) in 2019. Mr. Kishore Mohankumar is the framer of an idea in which BYSOS is fabricated while Mr. James Peter John is the booster that gave the idea, the needed acceleration.

Mr. Kishore was a stock market trader and used to earn a good amount of money from it. Unfortunately, he incurred a massive loss and was left broke, but he wasn’t wary of the stock market. To earn his living, he tried to get into various jobs, cracked the many rounds of many interviews, but ended up being rejected by all of them. At this undesirable time of his life, he decided to start his own company, “What do I have to lose, right?”

One fine day Mr. Kishore was trading in the stock market when he realized no platform offers any practice to the populace to trade in stock markets. What better mode of practice than a practice game? A fantasy game in stocks. At this bright realization, Mr. Kishore immediately thought of implementing this idea in reality. He designed a concept that brought out his idea beautifully and examined its workings and practicality with his family and friends. He was now certain of his idea and the concept.

The next important step was the implementation of it in the real world. The main requirement for implementation was an investor. Mr. Kishore approached Mr. James, an old colleague with his idea. Mr. James impressed with the idea was ready to cooperate with him. They both registered and started the company on 5th September 2019, and from that time onwards there was no looking back.

GAME FORMAT

BYSOS claims to give a fair play experience to its users. The users create a portfolio from the given 20 stocks by selecting 12 stocks in that particular fixture and selecting two of the stocks as 'Hero of the day' and 'Zero of the day'.

Hero of the day is the prediction of stock with the most bullish in your portfolio.

Zero of the day is the prediction of stock with the most bearish in your portfolio.

After the portfolios are formed users can join a cash contest with it. The team is rewarded with points based on the fantasy points system and the portfolio with the highest points at the end of the contest attains the first position on the leaderboard. The user who had created the portfolio is awarded real cash.

BYSOS has given people a chance to make full use of their knowledge about stocks. Now, the users learn the stock market to gain some knowledge and use it to win some real cash rewards on BYSOS.
