Chapter 5: A Message With A Rose For Your Heart

When Jamila arrived back at her office a rose appeared on her desk. At first, she thought she was seeing things but when her senses were clear enough, there it was. A beautiful candy apple red rose, the same rose she dreamed about. But something was different about this rose, there was a letter by it. She picked up the letter knowing that her curious side would get the best of her. Moments later, she began reading the letter out loud with a soft tone.

A rose for your beauty and charisma. May this flower be guidance for you to believe in love again. For you to love, allow me to show you that I can be trusted and worthy of your lonely heart

Chapter 6: Not The Flower Again...

After reading the short letter, she couldn't understand who would know her hatred for love. In her mind, Jamila thought no one could make her believe there was hope for love at all. She made an emotional wall for people who couldn't be faithful and who couldn't make her happy. A few seconds later, her best friend came in with a serious tone to her voice, Jamila what's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost. No Amerie, it's the flower again. Bestie we have to stop with this flower, Amerie said with a frustrating expression. I know but someone left this with a letter here, look for yourself. When Amerie read the letter she was just as suspicious as Jamila was.

Chapter 7: It's The Truth Mila!

Who do you think sent it? I'm not sure Amerie, it could be a prank maybe. Amerie started to laugh, this is not funny Amerie. I'm sorry Mila, but you have someone who is really into you. Well sorry to burst your bubble Amerie, but I'm not looking for anyone. Hey, I'm just telling the truth. You know Mila, there is going to be someone who is going to sweep you off your feet whether you like it or not, Amerie said. If you want to believe that, then you take the flower, Amerie. After both Jamila and Amerie shared their opinions about the stranger, they decided to go out to their usual spot where they enjoyed the company of each other.

Chapter 8: If Only She Knew

After coming home from work, Donte wanted to wash the evidence of hard work and stress away and watch some football. Donte was a guy who kept to himself most of the time. He had friends but they weren't always around. He wanted someone who could be his queen, someone who wanted the same things he did when it came to love. But being alone had changed when he saw Jamila Mason.

A few weeks earlier:

While accompanying the guest at the business party, he spotted a brown skin beauty with long black hair and a black strapless dress that fitted all her curves. When she smiled, everything around her started to fade away. All he could see was her and her shea butter skin that glowed in the sunset light. Minutes went by, and she started walking away with a walk that could talk if it could. After that day, he couldn't think straight anymore.

After his shower, he wanted to do some research on her to see who she really was. Seconds later, he couldn't believe that she worked for him. This was the chance to get the woman of his dreams to be his.
