The Holy Locket of Zamericanas

Chapter 1

By Alex FreemanPublished 5 years ago 4 min read

I was surrounded by a plethora of bearded reptilian-humanoids, poking me and probing me cautiously, inching closer to devour my soul. Their rusted armor and illegal weapons were stained with the blood of the elites, and they were eager to consume my flesh. The notorious M.A.M.A.’s Maniacs owned twenty-four territories and the government secretly funded all of their treacherous endeavors.

It was 7:59 p.m., the year 3031, and I held in my right-hand one-million vibrinadolecoin and laid lifeless in the desert at the feet of my enemies. The round rose-gold surface of the vibranadolcecoin reflected blinding rays of sunlight at a one-hundred and ninety-seven-degree angle that beamed directly into the pupils of the seven-foot reptilian juggernaut know as M.A.M.A ( Magnus Anti-Queen of Macronius Atlantis).

“Take his armor and throw him in the cells!” M.A.M.A screamed to her minions.

M.A.M.A. opened her dilapidated mouth, toxins, gases, acid-saliva escaped from the pits of her stomach and landed on my dark blue armor….two inches away from my heart. The smell of rotten meat and stomach acid haunted my nose and I almost vomited in my helmet. I remained calm and kept my body completely relaxed. As soon as I felt her claws touch my vibranadolecoin… I unleashed Hades himself.

My left hand opened a homemade V.C.L.D. (vaporistic-cryo-laser-droinbomb) programmed to vaporize any enemy in less than a second flew three feet into the air. When the bomb detonated it froze everyone instantly. M.A.M.A.'s soldiers looked like frozen statues, it was almost like walking through a museum of terror.

My eyes stayed closed so that I would not go blind again. The bomb released an explosion so fierce it froze the vibranadolcecoin to my armor. I rose from the frozen giants and continued on my dark journey.

I walked towards the rusted steel stairs and entered the abyss. The doors were at least three hundred pounds of welded copper and human bones. The sound of screams and machines echoed through underground tunnels. As I slowly walked down the stairs, my pet-drones departed from my suit and scanned the environment. My favorite drone Peter discovered M.A.M.A.’s motor-triton. Her vehicle was not any ordinary motor-triton, this beauty was called The T-Rex Walker. My pet-drones 3-D printed a key to fit The T-Rex Walker and I was approximately 8:15 p.m. My brother’s prison transportation was scheduled for 8:30 p.m. so I had fifteen minutes to outsmart M.A.M.A.’s minions, bypass security, and save his butt. I sent the pet drones on their own to free the slaves trapped in the underground lair so they could help us fight. The world had become a genetically enhanced zoo of hybrid humanoids fighting over territory, power, and slaves. World War X in the year 3001 created a future that foreshadowed the end of man. My brother, Xander-5, coming from an elite soldier class, worked for a secret society, DIVOC, and was banished to M.A.M.A.'s house because he was in search of the Holy Locket of Zamericanas. It said that the Holy Lockett possessed the codes to reprogram the entire humanoid race, ultimately ending the shackles of the government and restoring the New Territories to a state of tranquility, peace, and order. One piece of platinum jewelry was the key to saving the humanoid race, and my psycho brother was the only person who knew where it was.

The atomized engine roared through the metallic tunnels of doom and I blasted my way through hundreds of red-eyed demons with the photon cannons. The faster I went the dizzier I became, I was losing oxygen every second I went deeper into the tunnels.

“Peter, bring me an oxygen reserve chip!” I yelled doing 285 miles and hours. The bike had been programmed to go to the execution chambers and I arrived at 8:25 p.m. I sacrificed my pet drones to manually drive the T-Rex Walker into the Security control center so my brother Xander-5 and I could escape.

He was engulfed into the shadows, whimpering softly. Before I could say his name, I noticed he was a bag of bones withering away. I blasted the prison walls with a barrage of powerful government-issued weapons and nothing could tear down the force field. My pet drones were destroying and hacking is the security center as quickly as possible.

"The Locket you seek is buried beneath the Gulf of Tears. The code is our mother’s fear. My death will make your path clear. A 1 N.14, I 9 L 12 A…." Xander-5 exclaimed.

As he said the last number the force-field disappeared and he fell to the cold hard grown like a sack of genetically modified potatoes. I ran to his side, picked him up like a newborn, and cradled him in my bionic arms. I gave him an oxygen chip, a nutrient-life shot, and an adrenaline chip. My holographic watch read 8:31 p.m.

He was fragile in my arms with a platinum chain around his wrist. Somehow, someway he must have found the locket and hid it from the world. I began to shed liquids from my eye but I was programmed not to feel sadness. I was confused, but I kept going until I reached the light.

I knew he had used the code to deprogram my mind so that I may feel love again. I carried him on my back and saw hundreds of humanoids escaping the tunnels. My search for the Holy Locket was only partially complete. The Gulf of Tears was the most heavily guarded territory in the world. I would need a team of elite masterminds to save the world. As I was approaching the exit I felt a soft slap on my helmet. My brother lifted his head, looked at me, and smiled with all his strength. I began to cry harder... I could hear Beethoven's fingers striking the black and white keys of relief as I escaped the underground world.
