"The Forgotten Letter"

Main Characters:

Yami: An elderly woman living alone in a quaint cottage by the sea. She has a mysterious past and a collection of old letters.

Katsuki: A figure from Yami's mysterious past.

On a sunny afternoon, Yami stumbles upon a dusty old box while walking by the beach. Intrigued by its aged appearance and the memories it stirs of her painful past, she musters the courage to open it. Inside, she finds a collection of letters from her long-lost love, Katsuki. Whom she met in different dimensions.

Among the letters, one stands out, dated decades ago but she never opened that due to a painful memories. Katsuki was a soldier in his time; they met and fell in love unknowingly, making promises to each other. However, due to different time dimensions, Yami had to return to her own time.

Finally, Yami gathers the courage to open the letter she found in an old library, written by Katsuki:

What exactly do you possess that makes me head-over-heels for you? I keep asking the universe why they allow people who are never destined for each other to meet. Up to now, I don't understand how fate works. It's very unreasonable. Why let two beings cross paths if they’re not meant to be together in the end?

You promised me forever, Yami. You did. But I realized that forever was the biggest lie the universe could ever tell.

It's been almost 70 years, love, and I'm still here waiting for you.

You lied. You lied to me.

You said you're not a star, right? You said you wouldn’t leave me like the stars leave the moon. But you did. And now I'm here all alone again. waiting for you under the same tree where we made promise.

How many times will I have to wait for you again? How many times will I shout your name? How many more letters should I write? How many more songs should I compose? How many sleepless nights should I endure?

Yami, I'm not getting any younger, and I'm now less strong. But whatever happens, I know that my heart will stay the same.

Maybe in another universe, I’ll find you again, and we’ll repeat the universe's plan in a better way. Our story will be one of the most beautiful love tales in the universe.
