
The agitating heat blazes through my skin with one slight touch. This is the end of everything; this is the end of us.
I peek outside our window and I see no one in sight.. No cars, no animals, no people. If we can’t bear to be in the sun what in the world will we do? “Daddy, I want to go outside.” My eight year old daughter, Angelica, cries. “Go in your room and play with your dolls, Gel.” She rolls her eyes and stomps into the backroom. It breaks my heart to see her world crumble.
