Still Standing

Believe in yourself

By AnitaPublished about 2 hours ago 1 min read

There was a season in her life when quitting felt logical.

Not dramatic. Not emotional.

Just… practical.

She was tired in the kind of way sleep doesn’t fix.

Her dreams felt heavy to carry, like luggage she’d been dragging through years of missed connections and delayed arrivals. Every step forward seemed to cost more than it gave back.

No applause.

No shortcuts.

No guarantees.

Some days, she stood at the edge of giving up not because she didn’t care, but because she cared so much it hurt to keep trying.

But each time she thought about walking away, something small stopped her.

A quiet breath in the morning.

A memory of how far she’d already come.

The truth that quitting wouldn’t heal the pain it would just end the possibility.

So she stayed.

Not with confidence.

Not with certainty.

Just with the decision to take one more step.

She learned that strength doesn’t always roar.

Sometimes it whispers,

“Not today.”

And slowly almost unnoticed things shifted.

Not all at once.

Not magically.

But enough to remind her that persistence isn’t about winning quickly it’s about honoring the version of yourself who refused to disappear.

One day, she looked back and realized something incredible:

The moment she almost gave up

was the moment she was closest to becoming who she needed to be.

And she smiled not because life became easy,

but because she didn’t leave herself behind.
