Running Show Wines
An Experimental Effort Inspired By Monmouth Park's August 8-10, 2025 TB Card Races One, Two, Three

With the maiden claiming, ‘defending turf’ the elusive Dr. Wong continued planning an adolescent spirited drinking show, despite the award-winning editor's choice words describing the effort. "It's wine gold,” the elusive Dr. Wong stated, “the quality will put you in a certain place.”
“Certain place?” Victor inquired, spending all his money, wanting to experience the spectacular sensation.
“Well, Victor’s Dream,” the elusive Dr. Wong laughed, “is putting you out of the money.”
Enjoying the fast-track lifestyle, Dr. Wong waved his second Tavin, the mystical royal staff that would show, flowing grapevine fabulous candy.
“This is my gold strategy,” The elusive Dr. Wong proclaimed while Victor listened, “it is what makes the vino a winner.”
“Dr. Wong,” Victor responded, “fighting for Karen’s honor, put me out of the money.”
“Now Victor, forget what that maiden was claiming defending her turf,” The elusive Dr. Wong prescribed, “drink deeply and you will be a winner.”
“That thing you do,” Victor took a sip, “will work in a second?”
“You will immediately be, wildcat fire in the show position,” The elusive Dr. Wong ensured before calling his assistant, “Khozanall! I have another out of the money sample ready to go.”
Realizing the elusive Dr. Wong, was claiming a dual income, turning him into a winner, allowing the finance to defend his turf, Victor slipped out the door.
“Hey, wait a second,” The elusive Dr. Wong exclaimed, “your surprise package.”
Not turning around, Victor heard the next dialogue line from the elusive Dr. Wong, “I would consider it a skull honor if you showed me yours.”
Confused, the elusive Dr. Wong glared at Khozanall, “I am going to call my pal Max, he is out of the money.”
When the phone rang Risuko a winner climbing Max’s mental health wall, took a minute to answer, “Yes,”
“Risuko,” The elusive Dr. Wong knew who he was talking to, “where’s Max?”
“Over on the fast track searching for a maiden with special weight,” Risuko answered.
“Isn’t he happy with you?”
“No, he thinks his estefani light will show him where to go,”
“That city broad will only keep him out of the money,” The elusive Dr. Wong noted.
“Not if he gets her in the right place and says, ‘kiss me slow’”
Over at the right place, Max lured a maiden doing claiming, Chestertown Jane wanting butter kisses to get her out of the money.
“Did you know this was how Park Avenue Betty ended up a winner,” Max lectured, fast-track history.
“Trumps girl? Who was in the show?” Chestertown Jane inquired.
“Matty,” Max honestly informed, “according to the maidens claiming, defending their turf, Matty be good had the best show position and he changed the karma and now everyone is no longer out of the money.”
“Laird of Magnolia sure is a winner,” Chestertown Jane agreed, “perfect enough to return the big ern McCracken tradition, back to its place.”
Carrying Ada May’s ashes from place one to two inside the big ern McCracken is truly a theatrical production, since the prop always brings out the white face in the show patrons and to relax the audience the cast yells ‘cara blanca’.
“Cara Blanca should of been a cowgirl but she was out of the money and worked the beach in Morrocco instead,” Chestertown Jane noted.
“True Chestertown Jane, true, I have heard about that fast-track claiming,” Max added, “they all called her Misspent and thought she was a winner.”
Suddenly, the elusive Dr. Wong emerged interrupting the discussion, claiming fast track knowledge and experience, “you see,” he started, “when the shows finances defined itself as levee dry, pressure was put on the out of the money issue,”
“Then,” Max and Chestertown Jane replied.
“They hired the talented winner Catire Vizcaya,” Max explained, “and that blonde Biscay storm came through, it did not take long for the act of God insurance policy to kick in. Giving everyone a reason to enjoy some of my Wine Gold.”
