Life as a White Witch

Chapter 1- Tabitha

In the beginning there was a very beautiful woman who no one knew in the town of Lovesville, Tennessee. She wanted to start a new life in a new town one without the drama and the worry of always looking over her shoulder, and that is exactly what she did. The woman has long bluish black hair that flows in the wind, dark chocolate eyes that can see into one’s soul without knowing who they were or their background. Her name is Tallulah Jankins and she just arrived

into town with one small suitcase and a small black kitten with a white star like patch on its back.

Forgive me, don’t want to seem rude but my name is Tabitha Wilks. I run the local bed and breakfast here in town. The bed and breakfast sits across from the bus stop and I know everyone in town let’s just say when someone new arrives into town I'm the first to find out. As Tallulah walks towards the bed and breakfast she turns as the mayor walks up and introduces herself to Tallulah. “Hello, my name is Jessifer Frost, I am the mayor of this lovely town, and may I ask who you are?" As they were talking Tallulah responds " My name is Tallulah Jankins. I'm here for a fresh start. And it’s been a real treat meeting the mayor of a beautiful town." The mayor walks away, and Tallulah walks up to me and asks if she can check in. I walk with her into the building where I check her into her room and explain where everything is in the building and where to find the kitchen and that breakfast and dinner would be offered and occasionally lunch. I watched this mysterious woman as she looked around as if she already knew where to go and where everything was without me saying a thing. I mean the building is old. It’s been part of this town since 1839. It gives you a castle type feeling. I roam the halls as if I were the queen but at last, I know that I am not. I have renovated the place about 10 years ago. I did ask the mayor before I did any renovating if she want any of the natural woodwork to stay or what. I got her permission to do what I wanted with the place. I repaired most of the old bricks and wood trimming but what needed updating was the plumbing that was a task that I never thought was possible, but I achieved it and here it stands to this day " The Dragons Bed and Breakfast Inn. The castle was left to me when I was 16 but I couldn’t touch it until I was 21 years of age. My grandmother Muireann Kristin and grandfather Edmund Kristin were the ones that left it to me, but I don’t know where in the family we would have gotten the castle from. I haven't been able to look that information up since the archives are under the library in Knoxville, Tennessee which is weird if you ask me. Anyways as I was trying to explain I am still learning of the old passages that use to run through the castle all the way to the stables out by my home in the country. The only way I know about some of the passages is because there's a map that shows where some of the passages are my grandfather showed it to me once and I haven’t it since he passed away last fall.

I know it’s crazy, but I feel as though Tallulah is hiding something and I want to find out what it is.

As I walk over to the farmers market to see what the local farmers have brought to town Mayor Jessifer Frost spotted me and walked over and asked if I have any juicy news to tell her about the new arrival, I told her the truth which was no because it was the truth. I noticed Tallulah was looking around the town I didn’t know what she was looking for, but I decided to go ask her. " Hello Tallulah. How is the room? Is there anything that you are looking for?" In responds" Yes Ms. Tabitha, I'm looking into buy 2 places one for business and a home. I am also wondering how you go the rights to the castle of Black Blood?" Do you know where I can find a realtor? " I graciously smile and explained to her that " my grandparents left it to me when I was 16 years old and that’s there is only one person in town to speak to about buying buildings and that would be Mr. Benjamin Williams. He is the best realtor there is." I pointed her in the directions of his offices and that’s where I left her.

I walked back over tother farmers market to grab a few things like fresh honey, rosemary, lettuce, and a few new things that I haven't seen in a few years oranges and cherries. After the farmers market I dropped everything of at the inn and put it all away. I then traveled around town to help put up some decorations for the 4th of July. Everything must be perfect due the fact that we only get to host the celebration every other year. Last year Knoxville held the celebration, and it was ok in my opinion. They held a parade and had fireworks and their shops had put food and drinks out for people to buy which costed about $10 in total. We decided to have a parade, food, games, and other things for people to do in town until it was time for the big firework show at 9:30 pm. " Tabitha, is that you?" asked a strange voice one I should know. " Who? Oh, it's you. Jessica what's going on how’s the family? " Jessica said " Well to be honest it's been to long since I have been back here you know that we moved to Black Rock, Colorado 3 years ago. Right? Me "yes and " her " Well the thing is I just learned that I must help find a gem but no ordinary gem I was told that the gem is blue like the ocean, green as the grass, white as the snow that falls in winter, and pink as a grapefruit when cut opened. " I just kept looking at her as though she was talking crazy, but she continued “I have never heard of a gem like this. What am I supposed to do make one? But that is crazy it wouldn't be the same. Tabitha helps me please do you know anyone that can help me look for such a gem it’s for the celebration on July 4th which is in a few weeks. Which doesn't give me much time to find it." I told her to go to Knoxville to the library to look up any and all gems with that description and see if it’s mentioned in any of the books there. But don’t get lost in the archives. She gave me a big hug and left with a woman I didn't recognize from the back but then I saw her face it was Jessica's mom Tammie, she never really liked me, but at least I helped her a little for now, but the real question why does she need to find a gem of multi-colors and what is it truly for? Aside from that this celebration will be greatest that has ever been seen anywhere. I started walking back toward the inn when Tallulah walked up behind me and startled me by saying " Boo. Hey Tabitha hope I didn't scare you to bad." "No, Tallulah you didn't scare me too much. I was just about to go to the inn and prepare dinner for those who decide to dine in tonight. Will I be seeing you in the dining room for dinner or do you have plans?" Tabitha, I will be joining you for dinner and also, I will be at the inn for the next 3 months due to some modifications that need to be done on my new place that I have bought. Also, would you be a doll and place these flyers on the front desk for everyone to take one." asked Tallulah." with a slight smile I said, " Yes I can that’s not a problem but what are they for?" " The flyers are for my restaurant that will be on housed in the building right around the corner from the inn." smirked Tallulah.

We both walked back to the inn where we parted ways. I went to the kitchen and as I looked over my shoulder to see where Tallulah went but never saw. I put dinner on to cook. I also informed all the guests that were staying at the that dinner shall be ready at 6:30 sharp so that way I know who will be at dinner and who wouldn’t be at dinner. As we sit down to a roasted chicken mashed potatoes and corn for dinner, I couldn’t help but wonder what Tallulah was doing here in a small town with very little.

Chapter 2- Tallulah

My name is Tallulah (Ta- loo-la). I was born in a town called Lost Hopesville, California to a man and a woman who both were murdered when I was just a baby, so I never knew my real parents. I was told at the age of 16 that I was adopted and that’s when I started looking into my family tree and to find out why I felt so different as I was growing up. My adopted parents did know what my parents’ names were and where I could find their burial sites at. I asked to be taken to the house where it all took place before I was placed in their arms. Sam and Tonya Rosetta took me to a blue 2 story house with a pink picked fence. They said they would call the realtor that has the key to let them in. Chris The realtor showed up around an hour later and asked if I was sure I wanted to see the inside of the house? I most certainly do. I know that there are things in there I should fear, but I need to know who I am and where I come from and in order to do that, I need to see everything. We walked up to the red wooden door and unlocked the door and slowly opened it up to find dark spots on the walls and the hard wood floors. I asked if there was electricity in the house and we tested out the switches to double check and what luck after 16 years of no one living in the house the power was still on. I started to head towards the bedroom where I was supposed to be sleeping when my biological parents died. I peered in the room it looked as though it hadn't been touched in centuries. I saw a bear in a rocking chair in the middle of a pink room a crib that was placed against the far wall and as time passes, I looked at the selves in the closet they were filled with books that look like they were from out of an old temple with leather binding and parchment for paper. I had boxes so I may take a few things from the house Chris said it was ok cause the house was coming down in a few weeks due to the nature of the killings at this house.

As we boxed up the books in the pink room, I noticed a door in the floor but didn’t try to mess with it we had to move through the house to gather every book, picture, and papers we could find to make sense of my family’s past. After we took all the boxes out the truck, I had asked Chris if there was anything he knew about the house. He said that it was built in 1900s and there were only 2 owners. But he couldn't tell me anything about the structure. I asked if he had a flashlight. My dad Sam had a few in the truck and Chris had 3 of his own including extra batteries. I took everyone back into the pink room to show them the door in the floor they were all amazed we got it opened. We saw a ladder and I climbed down to see where it led to. I saw another set of books and a few melted candles, and a picture of a family and a pentagram drawn on it. I brought everything up for everyone to see what I had found.

My mother Tonya said, " Oh my I know what this was meant for." I had asked her to explain what she meant. " This set up was meant to protect the home and family from harm. The spell must have been broken by someone that knew that the family were witches. The only reason I know this is because my family are witches, and I don’t let many people know." Chris just looked at me as if I had known about Sam and Tonya's powers however that would be farther from the truth. I told Chris that I’m still learning about my real family so to find out that I was adopted by witches was a shocker to me.

After finding out the news I asked for a permanent marker so I may address the boxes to be shipped to a place where evil couldn’t find them. After I wrote the address down, I asked Sam to drop the boxes off at the post office on our way back to the house. I couldn’t help but wonder if there was something more that Sam and Tonya weren’t telling me.

Many years have passed I graduated from High school and went to a local college for the next few years I studied business and graduated with honors. After I learned that I was a witch I never really continued to investigate the whole family tree until I received a letter from an old friend in Knoxville, Tennessee. The letter stated that she had received the boxes and she will keep them safe until I arrive in town and that she had traced my family’s lineage to a town called Lovesville, Tennessee. Tallulah, I know that its crazy but your family use to live in a building called castle black blood. You friend Jill Ross.

I read her words a few times to make sure I didn’t miss anything she may have been trying to tell me without telling me. I decided to go visit Sam and Tonya and ask some question about the castle and if they had any knew information on what really took place the night my parents died.

As I pulled up into the driveway, I noticed a gentleman at the front door. At first, I wasn’t sure if I should even get out of the car. As he turned to look around, I saw his face and I thought I was dreaming, could it be the guy I had a crush on in college or am I seeing things. Nope not dreaming because he started walking over to the car as I was getting out. “Axel Densworth. What are you doing at my parents house?” I questioned. Axel smiled and replied with a smile that could weaken one at the knees. “I’m here to speak to Sam you father is he home by any chance?” “I think so, I have to talk to my parents anyways, so come on in and I will see if they are here.” As I said these words, we both walked in, and I started calling out to my parents. I noticed that there was music playing, but I didn’t know where it was coming from. I had Axel walk with me to find out where the music was coming from. Axel was walking right in front of me as if to protect me from harm. We both walked towards the hall where all the room were located. I told Axel “I’m starting to feel queasy. Don’t leave me alone I don’t know what’s going on.” Axel replied “Tallulah, I swear on everything I own I would stand by you every step of the way. I am going to be honest with you I have had a crush on you for a long time and never knew how sure I was about my feelings until now.” I wanted to scream with excitement however as we got to the back door the music got louder and I slid the4r5t6 door open and everyone was standing there and they all shouted “SURPRISE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Tallulah.” “Awe you guys didn’t have to do this. I forgot all about today being my birthday thank you so much.” Axel, Sam, and Tonya all had organized a surprise birthday party and I was really surprised when I saw everyone including my cousin Jessica whom I handed a paper to it had instruction on it, but she couldn’t show anyone unless she truly trusted them.

As I walked around the party greeting and thanking everyone for coming to celebrate with me, I watched Axel as he was talking to Sam about something not sure what it was about, but I know that I wanted to get away from the drama here so I slipped away into the house and got online to find a bus that was heading to Lovesville, Tennessee so I may find out more of what’s truly going on and why my birth parents were murdered. I booked the trip for that night. I walked back outside I ask Sam and Tonya to come close, so I may speak with them privately. “Mom, dad I want you to know that I love you both dearly, but I need to get out of this town and figure out the truth behind my biological parents’ death. Please understand and forgive me. I know that the car can’t leave the state, so I bought a bus ticket to find more out about the family I never knew. I love you both dearly, but I just found out that I come from a line of witches and that you both are witches too. That’s a lot for one to take in. Plus, I love you both for raising me as your own for the last 19 years. Love and appreciate it.” Sam replied “Tallulah if you wanted to take the car you could, all you had to do was ask. I know that you are just learning things out from the past and we are sorry that we couldn’t tell you sooner about your family, also we never found out anything new about your parents’ murder. We love you and hope you have a safe trip text us when you get to where you are going.” Tonya popped in “What about Axel? I thought you two were going to be going to the movies after the party, don’t you think you should say something to him so that way you aren’t leaving him hanging by a thread.” “Mom, I will talk to him in a few but I wanted you both to know what my plans were, so you didn’t have to worry about me. I’m only taking 1 bag and my black kitten Starry with me. I will buy more clothes and other essentials when I get to Lovesville, Tennessee. I promise to text when I get there. I will keep you posted on what I find out.” I said with a smile.

I started to walk towards Axel, and I can’t help but wonder what life would have been like if I had never found out that I was to become a witch and I was to marry Axel. What would our kids look like and how we would raise them? Then I snap back to reality and Axel asks “Are you ok? You look like something just happened. What’s going on Tallulah? You’re scaring me.” As calmly as I could I explained “Axel, this is how this must be I need to go to Lovesville, Tennessee to find out why my parents were murdered and by whom. I love you and I will never forget you. One day we will see each other, but for now I must go.” And with that I walked around and thanked everyone for coming and all the great gifts that I had gotten. I asked mom and dad to store them in my room until I get settled down in a place of my own.

Chapter 3- Lovesville, Tennessee

Sam dropped me off at the bus terminal and asked if I needed any money. I did ask for $200.00 and he was happy to help. I explained to him that the money that I had saved up was for a place to live and other essentials. I told him “Dad, don’t worry everything will be ok if I get into trouble, I know that I can always count on you and mom to be there.

As I climbed up onto the bus, I had a million thoughts going through my head on what was about to take place in a few hours.

I got onto my phone and looked up some b and b’s within Lovesville and with some luck I had found one that looked like a castle. I booked a room for 2 months that way it gave me time to find a place to live and to my research.

The time was 3:14 in the afternoon, and I was exhausted from ride to Lovesville. I had asked the driver if he knew where I could find The Dragons Bed and Breakfast Inn? He pointed to a castle that was situated across from the bus stop. As waled towards the Inn a lady walked up to me and introduced herself “Hello, my name is Jessifer Frost and I’m the mayor of this lovely town. may I ask who you are?” As we walked across the road towards the inn, I graciously introduced myself to her and then we parted ways and that’s when I met Tabitha the inn Keeper. I asked, “If I may check into my room” She happily took me in and check me. She showed me around the inn. I couldn’t help but look around at all the old tapestries and wonder what it must have been like to live in this beautiful place. I noticed that Tabitha was looking at me and trying to figure me out. I never gave her a word of who I was or why I have come to Lovesville, Tennessee. I need to make sure I don’t make my intent of being here be obvious sense I don’t know many people here. I put my stuff in the room and go down the steps to ask a few questions to Tabitha on how she obtained the castle in the first place. She told me it was through her grandparents that had passed away.

I decided to talk a walk around town to see if I could find a clothing store and a home as I walked a round Tabitha saw and waved me down to see if I needed anything and I had asked if she knew where I could find a realtor, she pointed me in the direction of Mr. Benjamin Williams. Tabitha returned to her shopping at the farmers market and I Waked down the sidewalk to find Mr. Williams office was just 3 buildings down from where I was at. I walked and Mr. Williams introduced his self. I found myself staring into the eyes of a 6’2 man with bright green eyes that made you feel like you were in a field of clovers and hair that was slicked back, and his body was in a nicely pressed suit that made him look like he just stepped out of a magazine and into this small office space.

“Mr. Williams I was hoping you could help me find a suitable building for a restaurant and a home to call my own.” As I was looking at the photos on the wall he stated “Miss. Tallulah Jankins, I may have what you are looking for. I have several buildings in the area that just got put on the market. I can take you around town to show you where these buildings are located at. After you choose the 2 places, we can talk about them over dinner this Saturday if you wouldn’t mind?” As I Started to walk out the door Mr. Williams grabbed me by the arm and twirled me around as if to say something however that isn’t what happened. He kissed me and I really liked it, but I didn’t know how to respond so I just said, “I will see you in the morning at the first building and we can talk about this kiss at that time.”

I walked back to the inn and Tabitha asked if I was going to be joining her and the other guests for dinner I did say yes and went up to the room to wash up for dinner. I went back down to the dining hall to enjoy the wonderful dinner that Tabitha and the other kitchen aides have prepared.

I was looking at the other guests to get a better understanding and a feel for what they all were doing in a small town. I noticed a wonderful couple who look like they just got married and they just wanted to enjoy their time together. They were very happy I didn’t bother them. However, Tabitha did ask “Tallulah are you enjoying your time here in Lovesville? And what made you choose a place like this to move too?” In response “I am here because of a rich history and something new in my life.” That was close she doesn’t need to know the truth. So far so good. I need to get some rest. “Tabitha, I am going up to bed I will not here in the morning however I shall be here for lunch but not dinner. I hope that helps you for your menus that you want to plan for tomorrow.”

“No problem that works out just fine.” Tabitha said with a smile. I walked up the spiral steps to walk down the log hall towards my room where awaits a queen size mattress with warm Egyptian Cotton sheets. While in bed I couldn’t help but sit in bed and think about the passionate kiss that me and Benjamin had shared in his office. Where was his mind when he kissed me? What am I going to say when we meet up tomorrow? I never thought I would feel as though I love someone. I only like Axel as a friend he was like a brother to me. Next thing I know Its morning and Im up and out the door to meet up with Benjamin.

“Mr. Williams. You have brought me to a very large dark red brick house. Shall we enter the house so you may show me the inside and tell me everything about the home’s interior. We can also talk about other things.” Benjamin responded with “Stop calling me Mr. Williams please. You make feel like my father. I’m not that old. I’m in my early 20s’ Thank you. So, let’s go in and talk about the house and about what’s on your mind.” I smiled and we both walked up to the house with a set of very pink double doors. Ben unlocked the doors and we walked in, and I saw an open floor plan for the main floor. Ben explained “There is a full basement with washer dryer hookups, as you can see there is an open floor plan here on the main floor you can have your living room over to the left and dinning room over the left near the wide-open kitchen. Shall we go upstairs to where the rooms are?” “Ben you are think like I do. I was just going to ask how many rooms this place has? And where we might be able to talk about that kiss we shared.” As we walked up the stairs, I couldn’t help but want to taste his sweet lips and hear him say my name as if we were a couple in the first stages of our honeymoon. Ben Was in front of me as we climbed up the steps that seemed to be never ending however we ended up in a long hall with 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. He showed me which room was considered the main bedroom in which it had its own bathroom and walk-in closets and 2 sinks. I wasn’t even paying any attention to what he was saying only to the fact of his mouth moving and I was wanting to feel his lips and body against mine and hope he never lets go. “So, Ben do you always passionately kiss all the ladies that you just happen to meet or is it just me?” I say with a snicker. Be smiles “Tallulah, you are the first and only woman that I have ever kissed liked that. I don’t know what I was thinking at the time but right now I know that I want to kiss every inch of you and tastes every drop of you. I want you in my arms every day and night. I can’t seem to get you out of my head.” Sorry, I don’t what do you mean every drop of me? What are you talking about? Ben, I want you too but not in a creepy way. I want to feel every inch of your skin against mine. I want you know everything about me, but I can’t let you get to close until I get settled into a place. I also want to know how you knew I would like this place?” “Tallulah, you had a look in your eyes the day we met, and I had to make sure that whatever I showed you first had to be the best. So how did I do?” Ben happily said. I smiled and asked “Where we going next? I hope you show me where I get to put my restaurant at in this beautiful little town?” He shook his head “Well, actually we are headed around the corner from where you are staying. There is this building that already has all the things you will need to start up your restaurant. I hope you didn’t mind the kiss that we shared. I know it was to forward of me to do. I would like to make it up to you so did you think about the dinner date tonight?” I couldn’t stop smiling and acting like a teenage girl that is crushing all over the new kid in school. “Ben, I thought we agreed that we would go to dinner and talk about the papers I have to sign in order to get the house and the building for my restaurant.” I can’t believe this I get to have a moment to think about how I feel and really get a grasp of what I want to say to Ben and how to explain to him that I’m a witch and I here to find out about my family’s history and to find my parents killer. Well, the moment of truth is coming I will be honest with the family history but to find out that I’m a witch might come across a little crazy and he might not believe me. I feel as though we are connected some how and that we are meant to be together. We met each other at the local bistro that Ben had mentioned to me while we finished looking over the floor plans of the bistro. As I entered Ben was sitting at a table set for 2. There were 2 glasses of red wine, glasses of water and 2 house salads with dressings on the side. “Wow how did you know that I prefer my dressing on the side and not on my salad.” As I questioned him, he simply smiled and said “I have my ways of know things that others just can’t figure out. So come and sit let’s talk about the paperwork and about you and I will tell you about me”

Chapter 4- The Truth

“Ben, I want to be honest with you and I really don’t want to many people around here to get the wrong idea of me. I haven’t been here for very long but there are somethings I’m still learning about my family history. You see I was adopted shortly after my parents were found dead in our home. I was raised by a loving couple, and I just found out some freaky stuff out about them and my birth parents and most of the information has led me to this town mostly to the inn. I have to gather more information and make sure that there isn’t more to what I have already.”

“Wow, not what I was expecting to hear, well let me process this you’re adopted, and you know that your family’s originally from this town and they lived in the inn before it was an inn correct?” “Yes, and I can’t even tell you what it is that I was told due to the fact that it would sound crazy to you, or at least sound like I have lost my mind.” As simple as that came out, I started to get up, but I feel a tug and hear “Where do you think you are going? We haven’t even finished out dinner and I’m just wanting more from you I can’t get enough of you not sure why, but I feel as though we have been destined to be with each other. After dinner let me take you to a place where we can talk privately and so you can understand what I want to tell you.”

We climbed into Ben’s car, and he blind folded me so I couldn’t see where we were going. After what felt like hours, he took the blind fold off and said “This is my cabin no one knows that this is here. I come here to clear my head and get away from the town life. You are the only one that has ever been here.” I kept my eyes on Ben the whole time as we started to walk towards the cabin. I had the courage to tell him “Ben, sense we are alone I can speak freely, right?” Ben opens the door and welcomes me into his sanctuary and calmly says “Yes, always be honest with me never hide anything. I want to come clean to you as well, but you first tell me what it is that you couldn’t tell me in town and then I will tell everything about me. I will have an open mind about whatever it is that bothers you.”

“Before I get into the whole story, we are going to need some hard liquor do you have any close by? Oh, look the whiskey and where might I find glasses?” “Top self cabinet on the right. Ice is the freezer anything else? I will light a fire so we can stay warm.” Ben says as she walks out to get wood for the fireplace. I find a comfortable spot on the bed, and I cover up under the deerskin like blanket and waited for Ben to come back in to talk about me and try to make sense of why I feel as though we are meant to be together. “Oh, wow your already in my bed not what I was expecting but I like, and it does make it easier to talk when you’re comfortable. SO please start spilling and explain to me everything I promise I won’t laugh or look at you differently.” Just as ben softly whispered those words I shivered, and he climbed up next to me and started to cuddle me. “Ok, so this is what’s been on my mind: I was told that my biological parents were witches and had been murder when I was just a baby, and no one can’t tell me why they were murdered. I was also told that the couple that had adopted me were witches. I also was told about a power that I could only posse, but in order to posse said power I need a gem of multi- colors however the gem was last seen in Castle Black which has been turned into an inn so the gem might not be in the castle anymore.” Ben took a deep breath in as if to laugh but instead he started rubbing his neck and was “Wow, you’re a witch. Are you a white witch or a dark witch? The reason for asking this question has to deal with what I am going to tell you.” I wasn’t sure on what type of witch I was, and I gave Ben my answer “I don’t really know due to the fact I just found out about it. And I haven’t really been practicing any magic, but I do want to and I want to know what is you want to tell me I will keep an opened mind just like you did with me, and I want to thank you for not over reacting to the news of me being a witch.”

“Tallulah, I now know why I am so attracted to you, and why I feel as though we are meant to be with each other. I haven’t been myself for many years do to the fact that I can’t be outside during full moons. I am a werewolf and have been since my 16th birthday. I was raised as a human until my mother told me that I am a werewolf and the man I called father wasn’t even related to me. I was also told that when I least expect it, I would find the woman I was meant to be with. I was also told that she would be a witch, but the thing is she would have to a white witch. I would like to show you what I look like on the next full moon night. If you would like?” I thought to myself: How do I feel about seeing the man I wan to be with go from a sexy model to a beast covered in hair. As I was just about to answer when we both looked at each other and we both knew that we couldn’t Stay away from each other for more than a few hours at a time, however I simply stated “If we are going to be together we cant let the town find out so every date night we can meet up somewhere and we can come here to have our dinners and talk to get to know each other better. I want to know if you would help me with looking into the death of my parents and to find out what type of witch I am? Ben smiled and gave me a slight growl in which turned me on, so he said “Yes, we can come here, and I can show you what I look like all beast out. We can touch base on our findings on your family’s history as well. Let’s get some rest tonight and we can head back into town where we will part our ways.” I simply nodded and laid next to him, and we both fell asleep as fast as the night turned into day.

Chapter 5- Moving

The next morning, I decided to go to Knoxville to find out if my friend had found out anything new from the books, that I had sent her or if there was anything in the archives that could be any use to me in the search of my parents’ killer, and to find out what this witch can do.

As I walked into the library my phone rang and it was Axel. “Hello? Tallulah hope everything is alright? I wanted to touch base with you and see why you decided to leave town for a place I have never heard of before. What’s going on?” “Axel, you know that I can’t really tell you too much but what I can tell you is: Thank you for always being so kind and sweet to me if you are ever down here, I will have to introduce to an in keeper who would be best suited for you.” I said with such sorrow that he knew I didn’t feel the same way as he did for me. “Axel, I’m sorry, but I love you like you are my brother. Please understand that I needed to get away and clear my head soon all this will make sense but for now I hope you have a wonderful day and tell my parents that I am ok.” “Tallulah, I will and I’m sorry that you feel as though we couldn’t be together. I promise to tell your parents that you are doing very well, and Tallulah I might take you up on the over of coming to visit you one day. Hopefully you can trust me to tell the truth about what really going on.” Axel had said, and then we hung up on each other. I walked into the library and Jill was standing there looking at me as if there was something on her mind. “Jill, what’s up? Did you find anything new about the family I never knew? I hope its nothing bad.” “Tallulah, I hope you plan on moving to Lovesville permanently because we have lots to talk about and there is lots to show you. I have known about your family since the year 1729. That’s when my family took over being the historians of the country. I have found 200 books so far on Castle Black Blood. Everything that I have found so far points to you being part of the royal family that ruled over most of Eurasia before your birth and then they traveled over here to start fresh. From my understand the family name was Black and I still have tons of books to go through but for now you are the last of the Blacks.” Jill had spoken as if she was speaking to a ghost. “Jill, I’m ok and we will get through this day by day.” Said with a straight face. Even though I knew that we had very little time left before July 4th. I needed to find out who the murder was and why they wanted my parents dead. I left Jill and returned to town.

I got back into town when Tabitha stopped me to see if I have found what I was looking for in a home and a building for a business. “Tabitha, how are you? I wanted to thank you for introducing me to Mr. Williams. He has been a gentleman at showing me many homes that were available to buy as well as some building that would work for my business.” As I started to walk away Tabitha started to say: “You’re welcome, dear and maybe we can be friends and I can show you some of the secrets that the inn holds.” “Oh, that would be wonderful and by the way I will be staying at the inn for another few weeks until my house is ready for me to move in.” I had explained to Tabitha on what was going on.

About a week later I was slowly moving my stuff into my new home where I could be myself and not have to worry about anyone finding out what I am or coming to hunt me down because I’m a witch. I walk down to the basement where I had set up all the stuff that was witch related on the left side and on the right side, I put all the books and information about Castle Black Blood on the right, and down the middle I put the files I had on both my biological and adopted parents. I looked at the photos of my birth parents and the crime scene look like it was straight from an episode of “Law and Order” I had to find out the truth about what went down the night they were killed. I also must know why I was placed with a Sam and Tony There must be a connection between them and my parents, but what could it be?

“Ben, would you mind meeting me at the inn. Tabitha said she would show me some of the secrets that the inn has been hiding. And I don’t want to go in any strange cubbies without someone else there to make sure that me and Tabitha don’t cause any trouble within the walls.” I explained.

With excitement Ben responded: “Well let me clear my schedule for the rest of the day and night that way I don’t leave anyone hanging. And That give us a chance to uncover any family history that might be hiding within the walls.”

I stopped by the inn to let Tabitha know that me and Ben would e meeting up with her at the inn around 3:30 this afternoon.

Chapter 6- Castle Black Blood History revealed

Ben, Tabitha and me all started at the front and Tabitha had said: “This use to be the great hall at one point in history they say that there are many hidden treasures within these walls that no one has found yet. I was told by my grandparents that there would be a great power that would unite 2 worlds together under the full moon on July 4th. I haven’t seen anything that has led me to believe that this would be the year but let us continue with the rich history and see if we can unlock any doors that might need to be unlocked.” We started looking around when suddenly, we just happened to be looking at a door next to the base of the steps and it hadn’t been there before. Tabitha tried to twist the knob and had no luck, then Ben tried it moved a little bit but no luck either then I tried, and it budged so the me and Ben tried together, and it opened. All 3 of us looked at each other like what the hell was that about. Tabitha had an inkling but was sure. I asked: “Do you have any flashlights or candles?” Tabitha went to the kitchen and grabbed all the emergency candles and matches, and the flashlights that she had: “Here I grabbed everything we have on hand. I will grab a book bag to store the rest, so we have them on hand. Anything else we need before we continue this journey? I want to know what’s going on with both of you and no lies.” I huffed and sighed: “Fine. I will explain everything once we find the end of this maze and we can move on from being just 2 people that know each other to 2 people that are real friends and you can’t tell anyone what you hear. I don’t want anyone knowing the truth until the July 4th.” Tabitha: “You have my word. Not a soul will find out what I hear from you after all of this until July 4th.” We turned the flashlights on, and Ben led the way through the door. As we walked down a long hall for about 5 minutes when we came across a chest that had initials on the top, I read them out loud, and it popped open we opened the chest and found a blueprint of the Castle as well as a set of keys and we didn’t know what they went to. I also noticed that there was something strange about the lid I asked Ben “Shine the light over here for just a moment. What is this? It was a handkerchief and a few old letters that were dated July 4, 1624. I asked Tabitha: “Are you sure that the castle was built the year you told me?” Her response “It’s the year I was given I don’t know I didn’t have any other papers stating otherwise.”

I made a statement: “No problem. Let’s move forward. Ben, you want the door closed so no one can follow us down here and get hurt? Or what?” Ben murmured “Yes close it there is a great danger headed our way. Ladies, please forgive me for all action that happen in front of you. Tabitha, I know that you are not quite prepared for all this but in short, I’m a werewolf and Tallulah is a witch as well was her parents, but she didn’t know any of this until a few months ago when her adopted parents told her the truth. And the same people that killed her parents are here trying to find her to destroy her. They don’t want the 2 worlds as one like it should be.” As Tabitha was closing the door a hand tried to stop her, but Ben got in between them and bit the person on the arm and the was closed, we were safe for now. We moved away from the door and as we did the door started to glow with a blue colored light. We started to run, and we realized that we didn’t know what we all saw. I wanted to say something but as we were walking, we started to see something written on the walls and another door. Ben looked at me and said: “This is the language of the elders I know it by heart.” Continue Ben read them out loud let’s see if the words open the door or if the words are warnings.” I had stated. Ben nodded and began to read the words: “To those that pass through this door have passed an old saying careful where one walks, or he may bite the hand that hunts you. Keep your friend close and thy enemies closer. Those who are not true friends seek out what belongs to you.” Ben and Tabitha didn’t understand what the words meant however I did, and I only had to say one name “Densworth” Ben looked at me and said “As in Axel Densworth? The guy that you left back in California. He is the one after your family?” I couldn’t believe it but as soon as the last name rolled out of my mouth the door opened and we all saw A large wall with a family tree on in on one side of the room one in the middle of the room and on the other side of the room Ben looked at the family tree on the right side of thro om and noticed that it was of his family’s and in the middle We saw a portrait of a family that was hold a baby. I recognized the people in the picture they were of my birth parents, and I combed over the wall of the family tree and didn’t find any link between my adopted parents to my biological parents. “Ben, do you see them? Tabitha what about you? Did you find anything?” Just as I was about to walk towards Tabitha she screamed. “TALLULAH, BEN look its Tallulah’s adopted parents they are part of the Densworth blood line I recognize them from a picture you showed me the day you and I finally became friends.” I was trying to make sense of it all, but I couldn’t.

Chapter 7- Danger is lurking

Just as we were stepping back from the stone tree, I stepped onto a button on the floor that opened a space in the wall that had a picture of the multicolored gem and where it was last seen in the castle. I grabbed the parchment and asked Tabitha if she knew where the room was in the castle? “Tallulah, don’t you recognize the room? Why it’s the room you were staying in when you were here. Did you notice anything in your room that would make you think it was still here in the castle?” I looked back up at Tabitha and said “I don’t recall feeling anything in the room or seeing anything. I’m also just getting to know the beginning of who I am. We need to find a way to my house from here without getting detected by the Densworth’s and their informants.” Tabitha stated: “This way there’s a door about half a mile up this hallway that leads right to your basement. My grandfather used to show me short cuts through the town under the castle and one of the ways was to the old Country house that you moved into.”

We reached the entrance to my basement and Tabitha asked: “Ok, I get the fact that Tallulah is a witch but is she a good or bad witch has me baffled, and Ben you’re you’re a uh uh what I assuming is a werewolf correct?” Ben hesitated but then said “Tabitha far as I can remember I have been a werewolf and Tallulah just found out about her family. We are still trying to find the clues to what type of witch she is. So far, I do believe her to be a white witch and we are meant for each other. I don’t want anyone else in town knowing what I am I have been hiding for years. And if the town found out before we could make Tallulah a full witch, I would be pierced through the heart with a silver bullet.” Tabitha and I decided to sit at a desk that I had place in the basement to do my research and now that I have part of the puzzle, I can place the pieces on the bulletin board. “Ben, your family has a long line of wolves tracing back to the 1500’s and Axel comes from a long line of witches, but why are the Densworths chasing after us we don’t have anything of great value.” As I made that statement Ben stated “The Densworths are also vampires they control half the county, and I should know because most of my family have to answer to that family. I on the other hand have been able to go undetected from them for many years until now.” What was going on, why were we being hunted and what is this great power have to do with me and Ben? “Let’s look closer at the letters and the pictures that we have and the blueprints of the castle. Let’s see if there is something more to this than what meets the eye.” I looked at the letters and noticed that all of them had certain words underlined and there were numbers next to the words I asked “Can one of you look in the books fore these words and see if any of the words were in the books and if they were underlined? Also, I noticed in the pictures some symbols that I recognized from the books; Ben Can you help with them I know that this will help us defend off the evil that has been following us thus far.” Tabitha asked “Ben, Tallulah have figured out what the connection between her parents’ death and the Densworths is? I know that we are a time sensitive mission and no extra question that don’t pertains to what we have to do by the 4th of July.” “I answered “Tabitha, we don’t any have answer to that question yet however, I can put a protection spell around the house while we are here for now. Let’s see here are the things I need: Ashes, Water, and a Willow switch. Let’s go outside and start the spell. And grab the remaining books off the porch they might be helpful in our search for this mysterious multicolored gem and the connection between the families.” We walked upstairs just in time to get the ashes and willow and water laid out and I said the spell I turned, and I see something headed towards my home. I holler at Tabitha and Ben “Run back into the house something is headed this way.” Just as we were running, I turned to see what was headed towards us however just as it was there, suddenly there wasn’t anything there. I couldn’t even think straight after that. I headed for the house slowly so not to be to be freaked out about what I seen or what I didn’t see. “Dear, what the hell was that? We were watching from the window, and we saw the ball of lights heading towards us but then they disappeared. I’m confused were we just imaging it or was it real?” Ben had asked. “Oh, it was real I could feel the heat coming off the ball there was no way that thing was fake. I know that we definitely need to get back cracking this whole thing about the past to unlock the future of the world.” I stated. Tabitha went looking through the books to see what she could find. Ben looked at the pictures and read the letters to see if there was something more that we were missing. I looked at all my family photos that I had of my adopted family and of the Densworths. I just know that there is something we are missing but, what is it? Is all I could keep thinking about when a scream was heard from a mile away. We all jumped up and looked towards town and saw a bright light coming from the old, abandoned church but, we all knew that couldn’t be right cause nothing ever really worked in the building. So, we all decided to move the ashes and branches so we could travel into town to see what was causing the glow. We made sure to push everything back into place so that way no one can cross the shield that protects the house and everything that we have worked on and are still working on to connect things together. As we got closer to the church, I noticed that there was someone dangling from the bell tower Tabitha shouted “Jessica? Is that you. What are you doing and how did you get up there?” “Tabitha, I was looking for the multicolor gem. I was trying to see if I could see it shine from here when I point my flashlight at the building and I leaned to far over and this is how you found me. I guess I went too far this time.” Jessica seemed terrified and scared that Ben went up to help her back up and down from the height she was at. Safely back on the ground Jessica explained “I know that I wasn’t supposed to be up there but it’s the only place that has a great view of every possible building where the gem might be.” I was trying to figure out how would get up to the bell tower so quickly but on the other hand I was trying to make sure that she was ok. Tabitha started to say “Ok, let’s check her over to make sure she hasn’t broken anything. I can’t believe you were actually up there on your own. What were you thinking?” Jessica simply said “I wasn’t that’s just it. I need to find the gem so I can give it to the person that it belongs to, and the world can stay the way it is.” I hope we find this gem before it lands in wrong hands. I want everything to ok I need to learn more about this gem to be able to use it for the better of the good. Ben seemed to be looking up at the sky which means there was the whole thing of him being a werewolf will be coming to light in about 2 weeks. And that means everyone will try to kill him if we don’t get this all figured out.

Chapter 8- Finding the gem-

All 4 four of us joined forces to look for this rare gem that connects me to this town and to a family that is trying to kill whatever good there is left in the world. How could one gem be so powerful so special that my family were the only ones that could ever posses the gem to keep chaos from happening. “We need to get ever piece of information we have over the inn and review it all and combined all our findings to locate the gem. Ben drove the truck to the house, and we all loaded it up with the books and the files we had. When Jessica asked “What is all this stuff? I recognize this signature from a letter I received months ago. Can you tell me who the person is?” Jessica had asked. I walked over the Jessica and looked at what she was looking at. “I’m not sure I can tell you do to the fact that we just found the letter in an old chest back at the inn. In which we need to get too in order to find the missing link in the mysteries of my life. So, what’s the plan once we get there how do we deal with the danger that lurks inside the walls of the inn?” I had explained. We loaded the truck with the final boxes and started to head back to the inn to start looking for more clues that will leads us to the missing gem. “Tabitha, do you know if it’s safe for us to go back to the inn?” Ben had questioned as if he sensed that it might be ok but wasn’t wanting to take the chance at going and end up walking into a trap. As Tabitha was just about to answer Ben question when Axel appeared near the entrance of the driveway but couldn’t pass due to the fact of the ashes and willow branches were protecting us from his evil grasp. “What do you want Axel? Why are you chasing us? We don’t have anything that you may want. You are scaring the women,” shouted Ben. “Ben, you should have never gotten involved in this. I was hoping you would have never found her. She is supposed to be mine and all the power that she will posse should be mine as well. My family has tried for many years to gain all the power of the withes from years past. Many years have passed, and I am the last of my family who hasn’t found his soulmate. I want what belongs to me and I will fight for it.” Axel had bellowed at Ben. I could help with the words that flew out of Axel’s mouth seemed to line up with the subtext from one of the letters that we had found. Tallulah replied to Axel: “Axel, listen I am going to lay a piece of paper on the outer edge of the shield so you may grab it and read it to see that what you just said has already happened once why would you try making earth look like HELL again no one is going to want what you want. I know that you said that you loved me once but just maybe you still love me and can allow them to leave to go find the gem that way we can make sure you get everything that you deserve and much more.” As I waved the others to go to the inn Axel grabbed the paper and as he was distracted, I ran back into the house knowing he couldn’t follow me I headed for the hidden path below the house and followed it back to the inn where I caught up to the others. They all questioned “How did you get away so fast? We thought you were a goner.” Jessica asked How do we keep the vampire-witch thing from getting in here? Is it true that vampires can’t enter a dwelling unless they are invited in?” Ben had the answer to that question: “Well to be honest vampires cannot enter without an invitation however witches don’t need an invitation to come into one’s home. So, with Axel its complicated. He can enter but he can’t go past the main door unless invited in.” “How is it that you know this?” Tabitha wonder. “Tabitha, I know this because at one point I worked for a high bred like Axel. His mom is the witch, and his dad was the vampire. I worked for the original high bred Asher Densworth Axel’s great great great great grandfather.” We started to haul the boxes in and then the files that we had. Tabitha asked us to put everything into the conference room so none of the guest would see anything and cause a stir. I grabbed the last letter that mentions the gem and who had possession of it.

“Tabitha, you said that the room I was staying in was the same room that is on the blueprint with the x’s and shapes on it correct?” I asked. In response to the question Tabitha answered: Why yes, it is. Do you think it might still be there? I think that room is the only room that we didn’t have to remodel. In face we only had to add the walk-in closets that are in the room.” Suddenly there was a jolt of light that appeared over by the steps that led the way to the room where the gem had last been held or even had been seen by anyone.

I stopped while everyone else was looking at the light like fireflies would to a bug light. I couldn’t understand why there would be a light now to show use the way when it could have shown us where it was in the beginning. Then I remembered that one of the letters stated that the last person to have been seen with the gem was with a woman named Tinita. I yelled: “STOP. STOP, allow me to test the water here. I may not be a high bred, but I know that we all have been through a lot over the last few days. I want to make sure that we are not being led into a trap. Ben, do you sense danger from the orb?” Ben happily responded: “No Tallulah there is nothing to fear here we can trust the orb. I think it wants us to follow it or to show us something that we might not be able to see.” I was still a little leery about following an orb that just appeared out of nowhere.

We started to walk up the steps when something caught my eye I stopped and looked at an old picture on the wall and notice that the gem was in the photo with a group of people, but I didn’t recognize any of them, so I asked Tabitha: “Do you know any of these men or women from this picture?” She smiled and said: “Actually this woman looks just like the mayor. And the woman holding the gem looks like one of your family member Tallulah.” All I could think was could the mayor know more than what I see. Would the mayor know anything about this prophecy or about the gem? We walked a little further down the hall and then the orb disappeared, and an entrance appeared with steps that led down to another room that we all never thought existed. No one else could get pass the shield only I could go through it so I looked everyone, and they reassured me that they would still be there when I got back. Just as I started to follow the orb a had thoughts running threw my head that made this scene seem like I was about to be murder or something. However, that wasn’t the case. The orb transformed into spirit that ended up communicating to me “Tallulah, I’m you mother as you may have found out you are a witch but no ordinary witch. You are the last of the White Witches from my side of the family. I see that you met your soulmate Ben me and your father set it up with his family the year that me and his mom found out we were having you both I made a promise to his dad that we would make sure that you would grow and know how wonderful and well you are. Also, Tallulah You must promise that the Densworths will not get their hands on our power. The gem is the key to unlocking the great power that is hidden deep inside of you. I was I could stay longer but I wanted to show you where the real gem was. The one up in your room is a fake give the fake to Axel and hid this one until you are ready to use it. Ben will help with that part.” “Mom, I’m sorry that you and dad had be killed just for this and thank you I promise” and just as I said, “I promise”, my mother disappeared, and I saw a rainbow light coming from an old red velvet piece of cloth on the ground. I picked it up and placed it in the backpack for safe keeping and headed back to where everyone else was supposed to be at. However, when I arrived all the Densworths were standing there and Axel asked “Well, was it down there?” “No Axel. It’s not down there It’s in the Queens old room we were following a light that led us here I checked out and it wasn’t what we thought. Here I will show you where the gem is.” I grabbed Ben, Tabitha and Jessica and whispered to them that they needed to run as soon as I give the gem over to Axel. I leaned in and gave Ben a kiss and whispered to him: Take this and meet me at city hall and have the mayor there as well I will be there soon.” Ben just nodded and so did the others.

Chapter 9- fearing all evil

We walked to the Queens old room, and I moved the rug on the floor and removed a few floorboards and we all saw a box that we all didn’t know that existed. I picked it up and noticed that it was the same weight as the real deal, but how was that possible? I knew it could be but then again anything was possible if you are a witch. I slowly turned around and mad e this statement: “If you let us go you get the gem. I know you want the gem more than me.” “Tallulah darling that’s not how this works they may go their job is complete. You and I have some planning to do. Our wedding is in a few days. You see the gem only works on the 4th of July in your hands only if you are married not any time before that night” Axel had explained. I asked “Ben, Jessica, Tabitha would you all bear witness to our union at City Hall the 4th?” With no hesitation they all agreed, and I sent them one their way. As for me and Axel we went to his family’s house where I was kept in the basement. I was fed and clothed and once a day I was bathed by one of his female family members. I also meditated on some magic that I remembered from one of the old spell books that were found in the closet of my old home. I didn’t want to say any thing out loud in fear that my words would provoke Axel or his mother. As the days turned into night my heart started to burn for Ben. I didn’t know what day it was only that we were getting closer to the day of July 4th. The night where I’m supposed to marry an evil man against my will. However, if my plan does work the way I hope it does Ben and I will be together and there will be good amongst our worlds.

Axel entered the basement, so I knew it was night. “Axel” I snickered. “Tallulah don’t think about even escaping. Come tomorrow you and I will rule over all the realms, and you will finally be mine forever. And we can continue my blood line. You are meant to rule this land with me by your side” I can’t even believe that I secretly like him what was I thinking clearly I was to young and stupid at the time. “Axel, you think that you and I will make it forever?” As I nearly gaged on the words. “Yes, forever is our way of life. I can’t wait to be able to control you and bend you to my will. You will obey everything that is asked of you. I will kill your friends one by one if you don’t listen.” Axel grinned with pleasure as he made the statement. I wanted to die right then and there. He walked back up the stairs saying: “Rest, because after tomorrow night you won’t be getting any for a long time.” After those words hit my ears, I doubled over and threw up in an old bucket that I had found under a work bench in the basement. I laid down on the cold hard wood- floors even though there was a big, beautiful king size bed with silk sheets and big beautiful antique blanket spread across the whole bed. I didn’t want to lay in the bed in fear that the Densworths may have put a spell on it to trick my mind into marrying Axel tomorrow night.

As I laid on the floor, I could help but notice that there were sounds coming from somewhere in the basement, so I followed the sounds. At first, I thought I was hearing things, but the sounds got louder as I got closer to a small crack in the wall. I started to make the crack bigger with a screwdriver that I had found on the floor under the table. “Ben, Tabitha, Jessica is that you guys?” No response until I see a piece of paper shoved into the whole in the wall. It reads: “Tallulah, we are all set for tomorrow evening. The mayor will meet you at city hall and I will make sure that you have everything you need to make this nightmare disappear.” Yours truly, Ben. I can’t believe this Ben you understood my message at the inn.

Day was here and it was the 4th of July in a few hours I will be in the town square pretending to confess my love for a man do not have feelings for. I watched as his mother and sister lay out a very large mermaid style gown that was covered with lace and had a sweetheart neckline. I wanted to question them, but I didn’t want to disrupt them from what they were doing, but I had to ask: “Mrs. Densworth, why are you getting me ready now? We don’t have to be in town until dusk, and I really think having a white dress is over kill.” As they walked back up the stairs, I couldn’t help but overhear Axel’s sister Cordilla whisper to his mom “Are we sure that she is the one? I can’t even sense her powers. What if we did this and….” That was the end of the conversation that I caught not another word.

Chapter 10- City Hall Hell

As the women get me ready for what they think is going to be the nigh that their family takes control of the realms is the night that I use my powers for good and teach these want a bes a lesson. What seemed like years was only hours, I was ready and heading up the stairs to a large black SUV that had 4 guards and a driver to insure I wouldn’t take off.

In the SUV was Cordilla, his mom, and me and that was the very back seat. In the middle were the guards. I kept mostly to myself the whole ride to town. I knew in matter of hours everything was about to change and I hoped that I was doing the right thing. We finally reached City Hall where the mayor Jessifer was waiting for us. “Ms. Jankins, its great to see you again.” And then she whispered, “I can trust that you are entering into this of your free will?” she asked. “Mrs. Frost, it is great to see you as well.” I responded softly “No, but we have a plan, and we need you to play along.” I requested that me and the mayor have a few moments alone so I can give the information she need to perform the ceremony. They all walk away as me and Jessifer head into city hall. “Jessifer, has Ben, Tabitha, and or Jessica made here yet?” Just as the words had left my lips, I heard a familiar voice echoing through the hall. “Tallulah, is that you?” Ben had shouted. I just wanted to kiss him and hold him and never let him go. I knew that we would have that chance later when we get ever last one of the Densworths rendered powerless. As I was about to tell everyone the plan one of guards started to open the door and I started to say, “Mayor Frost so you will be up in front as for you 3 I need you to stand here behind me.” And just like that he was back out the door. “Ok so here is the plan: Ben- you are to make sure that the real gem is close by to make it seem like the fake is working. Jessica and Tabitha, you 2 are going to make sure that we have the holy water and silver crosses filled with garlic so those who are just vampire die instantly and those who are just witches can meet their demise and the high bred well we have everything just in case one or more doesn’t work.” I sent them off and walked back outside to meet and greet Axel’s family and welcome them to the hall.

I noticed that Sam and Tonya showed up I asked, “Why would you try to hide the fact that you are related to the Densworths and that they are wanting me to wed their only son?’ Sam smiled and said “Tallulah you haven’t gotten it through your pretty little head yet? We are the real Densworths and Axel’s real parents those people that you thought were his parents are people that want to live after the wedding. We knew from the day you were born that you were the one that would bring us the great power of the white witches. We had to pretend like we didn’t know to much and had to let you go on this mission by yourself however we never lost tabs on you. You see the day axel called you we traced the call and knew right where you were, and we even had tabs on that library friend of yours as well, but she gave us the slip before we could even get anything out of her. Ha ha ha.” Just with those word lingering in the air they walked away into the building. My heart sank as I wanted to cry for, they were the ones that order my birth parents death just to be closer to the great power and destroy the world. I faked a smile as I watched many of Axel’s family members enter through the doors. Most of them were vampires and some were witches very few were high bred like Axel. I knew they were able to go in but were they going to be all the way in? Then I watched them slowly enter one by one as if they thought they were going to be pushed back but they were able to enter due to the invite.

Ben caught up with me and asked, “May I walk you in my lady?” without hesitation I responded “Yes you may kind sir. Ben what’s going on?” As Ben smiled, he said “Just keep your eyes on the mayor she will let you know when it’s time to act. We have multiple of people here that will help us with this. Now let’s continue with getting you up these steps slowly because we don’t want to break a leg nor want you out of breath.” We started to walk up the steps when I felt something coming from inside my body. I wasn’t sure what it was that I was feeling but I knew that I couldn’t let Axel see it or he would try pushing the wedding up and we couldn’t have that. “Ben, come here. We need to be somewhere where there is more light, so that way all they see is the natural lights and not me.” I whispered, “what do you mean?” Ben had asked.

“Well, as you know I am a white witch. I am starting to feel the power that comes from with in a witch. I saw a picture of a witch that had light coming out of her body and I think that is what’s about to happen to me.” Just as we got to where the natural light was the brightest, I started to glow and be lifted up into the air. I couldn’t believe that this was actually happening to me.

Chapter 11- The Great White Witch

Ben and I were amazed at what just happened. Ben asked “How are you feeling? Do you feel different? I know you look different. Your hair has gotten longer and your dress it looks semi different, and I don’t think that’s a good thing, but you look amazing.” I looked down at the dress and noticed that it didn’t have the lace on it, and it was a little short than before. I knew that Axel would eventually notice that I have gained something. So, me and Ben finally reached the top and everyone was standing and turned towards the door as the music started to play.

I looked up at the mayor and she had given me a smile and I knew that everything would be ok and that at the end of all this me and Ben will be able to spend the rest of our lives together. I wanted to tell Ben how I truly felt but I knew that I really couldn’t cause we were in a room full of magical and blood thirsty people. Mayor Frost stated “Welcome one and all. Let’s get started by allowing the groom start with his vows first and then we will hear from the bride. Axel you may start.” Axel was talking and looking away to say things to his family about all the power they will posse. When Jessifer leaned over and whispered in my right ear “I hope you know what you are doing? I wasn’t sure on how I was going to handle the Densworths but one thing I knew was that the power of the gem would work for me even without me being married. “As I stand next to my bride, I want to say that I’m the luckiest man on earth to be marrying the last of the white witches. I can’t wait for her to join the most powerful family in the world and to control those who would defy us.” Axel snickered and looked at me with hungry eyes and he said, “Tallulah I take you as my wife now and forever and can’t wait to spend the rest our lives as one.” Frost looked at Axel and asked, “If he was done so that the bride may speak and say her vows to you?” he nodded and just like that Jessifer gave me a wave as if to say go ahead and make your vows known. I was trying to find words to say to the congregation, but I was a lost for words. I felt a piece of paper being placed in my hand by someone that I couldn’t see. I lifted up my hand and read the words to myself before reading them out loud. Axel gave me a look of concern when suddenly I started to say “I am a white witch but no ordinary white witch I am the GREAT WHITE WITCH I have the power to make everyone in the room obey me. I want you all to know that I may look weak however I am a strong a brave woman with words to say and a power that can make me get even with all of you.” What did I just say that wasn’t me and I know it wasn’t, but it was my voice that said the words that shattered through the room and made everyone look at me like I was prey, and I didn’t think that I was capable of saying such powerful words then as I stepped forward to make a statement more words came out of my mouth. “As for you Axel as it would be you are a high bred as well as are most of the people here. I know that most spells and or harmful object won’t hurt you or them. I want to make sure remember this night and to remember that you won’t be controlling me or any one ever. I am not going to be marring you We don’t belong together at all. Axel You don’t know the meaning of true love.” Axel looked furious at the words that were being thrown at him. I wanted to grab the gem from the backpack, but I had to wait for the perfect time to bring out the real gem Axel can’t see that the one he has on the mantel is a fake. “Shall we continue with ceremony?” Axel said angerly. “I guess we can continue with everything as long as Tallulah is ready?” “I’m fine just needed to clear the air. I want Axel and his family to know how I really felt about him.” As I started to cry Ben stopped the ceremony with a very great big growl. “STOOOOOOOP! You can’t continue with this crazy wedding you know it’s wrong. You know that I am her soulmate, and I am not going to stand by watching her be sad with an evil no good high bred like you. I will fight you for her hand if you win, I will serve you family in my true form and if I win you must renounce your claim on her and the power that she will posse in a few about an hours’ time.” “Ben, you don’t stand a chance against me. I’m a high bred I will even the odds I won’t use much magic and you have to fight me outside as your true self. Fair enough for you Ben or are you scared?” “Axel, you’re on.” Ben shouted. As they started to head outside, I slipped away to a room where I changed into an outfit that was less revealing and not so tight. Thank goodness that me and Tabitha wear the size. I knew that I had to step outside so that the men saw me and that the full moon can charge the gem and turn the man I love into a beast that is supposed to protect the realm from the likes of people like Axel and his family. Soon the clouds started to part and let the moon shine its rays down onto the main street where the men were standing waiting for Ben to turn into a werewolf however just as the moon came into sight Ben started to turn into the very thing he was hiding from the people that know him as his human form. I Wanted to interject and say something before they battled but I knew it wouldn’t matter.

Chapter 12- Fighting for Love

Ben and Axel started to fight over me, and I didn’t want to watch them fighting. I wanted to get in place for the great power to take charge and put the Densworths in their place. I knew that the time for me to act was drawing close I needed to act before sunrise which was at 5 am and the only time to make sure that everything works and that I wasn’t wrong about was set for the devils’ hour as in midnight the only time to the gem will ever work and I will be a full fledge White witch. Who knew I would become a white witch or even fall in love with a man that can turn into a werewolf? Jessifer had just walked up and asked “Are you ready to do this? Are you sure you can do this? Ben really must love you to risk his life to keep you from marrying a highbred. I guess I’m just shocked to learn that the people I care about are people I only read about in books.” “Well, first things first I know that I’m never going to be fully ready. I know that we all can do this because it’s going to take all of you to believe in me to complete the circle, we all must surround the guys around 11:45 pm and I’m going to give you each a phrase to say one by one. Whatever happens don’t let go of each other, hold on tight and repeat the words that are given to you.” I said to the ladies that were with me.

I was amazed that they all were super excited to give a helping hand with this. I asked for the time “It’s 10:45 pm we have one hour left before we can get into that circle. What do we need to do because we can’t really get close to the guys?” I simply said, “We move as they are moving but we don’t break our bond I will have the gem on me and now is everyone ready to give the Densworths what is coming to them.” We all walked down to where the men were fighting and made a circle around them. “What are you ladies doing down here? This is no place for you. Get away from here.” Axel shouted angerly. “We are here to help Tallulah with securing the bond that her and Ben share, and to make sure that you don’t escape from the Tallulah’s spell that will make sure that you and your family won’t ever lay your hands on her family ever again.” Jill screamed out from behind a large Eastern White Pine tree. “Jill you’re here thank the gods that you are alive.” I spoke these words. I wanted to give her a hug but didn’t want to break the circle we have so I tell Jill “Join the circle. The more the merrier. We could sure use more women to help with this.” Ben looked at me and that’s when Axel got a cheap shot in and punch Ben square on the chin, we saw blood flying out of his mouth. We never broke our circle. I started with the words: “Forever is a family, a family isn’t necessarily blood. With these words I bind myself forever more to Benjamin Williams. Benjamin Is forever bonded to me for we are soulmates.” and with that the women continued with their words: “With these words you are no longer going to be able to touch the Great White Witch. She has more power and more control than you will ever posse.” “Tonight, is the last time you will ever fight for one that is not meant to be yours” “We are one with the great white witch you can no longer have your way with our minds.” I shout out to Ben “Get out of the circle duck in between our arms. I don’t want to lock you into this spell.” Just like that Ben duck in between Jessifer’s and Tabitha’s arms so not to be locked inside the spell. We started to move the circle closer to Axel as we continued to speak the spell Axel tried to throw a fire ball at me, but it ricocheted off the shield and hit him. We kept up with the spell and never stopped. As Axel grew weaker, I had Ben grabbed an enchanted rope that was in the backpack that was sitting next to the tree. Ben wrapped the rope around Axel, and I asked Jessifer to finish with the wedding ceremony but to substitute Axel’s name with Ben’s.

Chapter 13 - 2 worlds as one

Just as I gathered up everything and asked Tabitha “Will you be my maid of honor? The reason I ask is you became my friend even knowing that I’m a witch. And ….” Tabitha didn’t wait for the full question to leave my lips she said “Yes a million times yes. Thank you for this opportunity.” Once we got everything set up, the mayor asked “If we are all ready to finish the marriage ceremony? I will ask that you both come into this marriage free willing. Let’s take a moment to honor the bride and groom and the fact that they just may have saved us from dying. Nevertheless, Ben do you take Tallulah as your wife to have and to hold till death do you part?” Ben responded with “I do.” “Do you Tallulah take Ben as your husband to have and to hold till death to you part?” I responded “I do” “With the power vested in me and by the state of Tennessee I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride.” So, we did just that we sealed our love and marriage for each with a very passionate kiss.

“You see Axel the power of the gem never was being used against you. I was using my own powers against you with the help of my friends they believed in me and that is what boosted my powers to weaken you. I am going to banish you to Knoxville for a total of 5 yeas and maybe by then you will have learned that good will always win over evil and that I was never meant to be with you. I promise that you that one day you will find the woman that is your soulmate.” I declared to Axel.

Ben turned back into a human and the worlds became one as if nothing ever happened the fair people of the town was back to their old selves and their minds were wiped clean Axel did go to Knoxville to live for the next few years Tabitha continued to run the inn Jill cleaned up the library back in Knoxville with the help of Axel. Jessifer continued to be the mayor of Lovesville. And Jessica ended up going back to California to settle some rental properties that were on the market. For as me and Ben we have been doing well And I have the gem around my neck to help me make sense of the things that have occurred.

Chapter 14- A well-hidden secret

As one year has passed the town of Lovesville has been quiet for the most part no sign of the Densworths which was a good thing, but something did seem a little off I couldn’t put my finger on it. I went into town to meet up with all the ladies for a lunch when Ben stopped by and asked, “How are all of you ladies doing?” We graciously responded with “We are doing well. Thank you for asking.” Ben started to walk a way when he stopped and said, “Don’t forget to stop by my office after lunch I need to give you something” And off he goes. Me and ladies finished our lunch and I paid I even got Ben something to eat.

I walked all the way to Ben’s office and saw the mayor talking to Cordilla Axels sister and I could help to think about what Axel was up to these days. I shook my head and walked into the office with Ben’s lunch. “Ben honey you here?” Just as I said that out of the backroom comes Ben with a box in his hand. “Tallulah, I never thought we would be nearing our 1-year anniversary so soon. I wanted to give you a ring that lit up a room just like you do when you enter it and smile. So, with this ring I am forever bond to you as one.” I started to cry, and I gave him a passionate kiss. “I guess great minds think a like when it come to ring giving. Ben with this ring I am forever bond to you as one.” After we exchanged rings and shared some kisses, we parted ways. Ben went back to work; I went off to the market in town to find some fabric to make a blanket for me and Ben to cover up with this winter.

I started to feel a little weird in the market and I knew it wasn’t from my monthly menstruation because I wasn’t expecting it until the end of the month. I had to call the doctors office to get an appointment to make sure everything is ok. “Good afternoon, Dr. Shyene Jewels office?” a nurse’s assistant. “Yes, this is Mrs. Williams, and I would like to see if the doctor has an opening for this afternoon say around 3 pm?” “Let me take a look at the schedule. You’re in luck she has an opening for that time I will pencil you in for 3 pm this afternoon. See you at 3pm this afternoon Mrs. Williams.” “See you then.” Now that I made the appointment, I had enough time to pick out the fabric I wanted for the blanket. Now off to the appointment hopefully it’s nothing bad but I do need to text Ben, so he doesn’t worry when he tries to call me, and I don’t answer my cell. “Honey, I’m going to the doctors to make sure everything is good. I will text you afterwards.” And with that text I was off to see Dr. Jewels.

As I’m entering the doctor’s office Cordilla was leaving. “Cordilla, good afternoon how have you been? I see you have seen the doctor are you alright?” I could help myself, but I had to know. “Well, to be honest I’m glad that you stopped me before I headed to Knoxville for my brother’s wedding. I was getting checked by the doctor and getting a refill on some medications. Tallulah, I’m pregnant and father has walked away and now this beached whale must make an appearance at a wedding that she thought would never be. I honestly think I am destined to be a single parent. How are you and Ben doing? Are you going in to see Dr, Jewels?” “Well to tell the truth Cordilla me and ben just gave each other a ring this morning and I was going to see Dr. Jewels to make sure that everything is good for me to start my period this month. I wasn’t feeling well after seeing Ben.” After I said that she started to walk in the direction of the bus station when I had to run to catch up to her to tell her “Please don’t say anything to people that I went to the doctor I will when the time is right.” She nodded and we waved, and I ran back and headed into the office to check in.

The nurse calls my name and takes me to a room where I waited for wait seemed like forever but really was only a few moments to see the doctor. I hear a knock on the and a voice asks “Are you decent? Hello Tallulah, let go over your medical history I know that you were adopted and that your blood type is O neg Rh, what I don’t know is: are you allergic to any medications or foods? Have you had any surgeries? Any nausea, any weakness?” “Well doc to be honest with you, I started to feel a little queasy this afternoon around 1:45 pm and I think it maybe the flu. But I wanted to seek out the opinion of a doctor.” As soon I said that she requested a urine, and I gave it. I also asked “Why would you need a urine sample? I don’t do drugs of any kind. I don’t think I’m pregnant and if I am wouldn’t it be to soon to tell right?” “So, the urine was to test for pregnancy and drugs, and we have to cover our bases. Next we will have to take some blood so we can check all your levels and rule out diabetes.” “How long will that take doc? And another thing if I am pregnant, I don’t want the whole town to know so let’s keep it between us.” “Well let’s get the test going so we can eliminate all possible reasons why you didn’t feel well earlier.” The tech came in and took blood and my urine out of the room to run the tests that needed to be done. I started to think back to when my first day of my last period and think about the last time me and Ben had even been intimate. It wasn’t that long ago for the intimate part, but I can’t even remember the first day of my last period. “Tallulah, congratulations are in order you are indeed pregnant, and I have set up the ultrasound to see how far along you truly are and how many fetuses there might be. I will be the only person in there so the pregnancy stays between us. I will even give you a few months’ worth of prenatal vitamins. Ok this will be cold. Let’s get babies first picture.” “Ok Dr. Jewels let’s see what we are dealing with.” “Ok. I see one baby so far, two..., three…, four…, and five. You are going to have five babies. So far, they look and sound great. Also, your about 2 ½ months along which means you’re still in the beginning of your pregnancy. I will get you set up on my personal calendar to be back in about 2 months so we can keep an eye on your progress, and we can make sure we are right on track. Just tell the nurse out front I want to see you in 2 months to check to make sure that the nausea medicine is working no worries I will preorder your vitamins so that way no one will ever know.” “Thanks Dr. Jewels. I will see you in 2 months’ time.

I wiped my stomach off and slipped the ultrasound into my purse so no one could see or even notice it. I walked out to the nurses’ station and scheduled an appointment just like the doc told me. After the appointment I sent Ben a text: “Hey baby sorry for the late but im on my way home to cook dinner is there anything special you would like made? Love the wife.” Ben sent a text back: “How the doctors go? Hope there isn’t anything wrong. Baby I was worried all day please what happened? Also, can we have Roast, potatoes and carrots?” I smiled while texting back: “The doctor prescribed me some medicine for my stomach. I shall be just fine in a few days. And no problem on the dinner request. We can have roast, potatoes, and carrots for dinner tonight. See at home love the wife.” After sending the text I went over the meat market and got a roast and then to the farmers market to get some potatoes, and carrots as well as some other things for a lunch for tomorrow.

My head was racing with thoughts of how I was carrying 5 little ones and how I was going to tell Ben about the pregnancy and the when. I knew I didn’t have any real family to tell so the secret is truly between me and the doctor.

Chapter 15- Secret is out

I got home and started to make dinner. I hear Ben entering the house I smiled and said “Hello my dear. Hope you are hungry? Dinner will be ready in about an hour. How was your day at work?” “Work was fine, and I’m famished can’t wait to eat. I saw Cordilla in town she came to the office looking to buy my old house off of Elm. I thought she had left when her brother left but I guess I was wrong. Is she expecting a baby? She never said anything, but she looks very pregnant, and I was Happy to see the house was sold so we don’t have to worry the house sitting on the market. By the way how did your appointment go today? What did the doctor say?” “Oh, honey I’m fine nothing to worry about she prescribed me some meds for my stomach, and I am feeling much better right now. Cordilla is pregnant but she hasn’t really had the chance to tell her family yet. Plus, the father has taken off leaving her in a lurch. I am going to invite her over for a luncheon and to see if she needs anything or help with getting anything for her and the baby (ies). I was hoping we could go see a movie this weekend if you are free, but I know you may be busy and tons of work to do.” “I can always make time for you my dear and I will look at my schedule in the morning and send you a text by noon to let you know whether Saturday or Sunday will work for our movie night.” And with his words we sat at the dinner table and ate the food I kept looking at Ben trying to find the right words to tell him that we are going to be parents in about 6 ½ months but I feel as though its still to early to tell him. Later that night we sat down to watch a romance movie and then we were off to bed.

It’s 11:30 am and I just got done texting Cordilla “I hope to see here at 12:30 and We can talk about anything you want.” Just as soon as I hit the send button, I hear the doorbell and asked, “Who is it?” But no one answered. I looked out the side window and saw no one there but there was a box in front of the door. I opened up the door and bent over to pick up the box when I see Cordilla driving up. And waved to let her know that I was home, and she can just come on in. I walked back into the kitchen with the box and opened as Cordilla walked in asking “What you got there? Hope it’s filled with tons of fun.” I giggled and responded, “Not too sure, but whatever is inside we will find out soon.” I opened the box, and it was filled with baby items and vitamins. Just then I hear Cordilla screaming “Ah your pregnant! Yeah at least I won’t be pregnant by myself. Does Ben know yet? What about the rest of the town does anyone else know other than me?” I never really could get a word in when Cordilla was around. “Cordilla slow down. No one else but you me and of course the doctor knows about my pregnancy, and I want to leave it that way for now until I stat to show which will be in 2 or 3 more months. I don’t even know how I’m going to tell Ben. He really should have been the first person I told. You just happened to find out by accident.” Cordilla looked at as if I was crazy for not telling Ben.

“We need to come up with a good way for you to let everyone including Ben know about your pregnancy and to let them know about the gender (s) of the baby (ies). I got it we will have a gender reveal party set up for me and set up a pregnancy/ gender reveal party for you. I will find out the gender for my baby and you find out for yours so we both are on the same page.” And with that we both went to work on planning a giant party.
