A Brief Thought: The Great Gatsby

A (literal) few words on a book that helped expand my perspective on life.

By Jaye Ruggiero-CashPublished 2 years ago Updated 2 years ago 1 min read

I first read The Great Gatsby when I was 16. At the time, I found its language complicated, and its message somewhat beyond my understanding.

But now I get it. And it stands out as an iconic story and incredible illustration of greed, corruption, and economic disparity in America.

I found the book very American lots of self-serving people, but thought the film was great, but the characters were the same. Excellent review.

  • I've not read this book but I loved your review!
