Flow Cannot Belong
Attempts were made to divide the river—maps drawn, borders placed, rights claimed. The water ignored them all. It flooded lines, blurred edges, reclaimed land. Those who tried to possess it exhausted themselves. Those who learned to pass through it felt carried. The river taught that what sustains life cannot be owned without being diminished.

The City That Learned to Breathe Together
At some point, no one could say when it started, the city began breathing in unison. Not consciously, not by decision, but gradually. Crowds slowed. Traffic lights felt less urgent. Conversations paused naturally between sentences. People noticed that when they rushed, the city felt tight; when they softened, it opened. Breathing together did not remove conflict or difference—it created space around them. The city did not become peaceful. It became aligned.

Was it a fair tournament?” Orlando’s voice was cool, refreshing to hear to Caoimhe over the sugar-heavy voices in Court. He stood straight and tall, and, to both Orlando and Dione’s good fortune, his hands were steady on his teacup. Puss, seeing the poise that his two charges managed to display smiled a secret cat smile, curled up on his accustomed spot on the window seat, and feigned a nap during the proceedings.
