I started making my own sugar scrub, vitamin C serum, and bath salts over a decade ago. I use olive oil instead of mineral oil for my base, and I infuse it with a smorgasbord of essential oils to achieve the product I want, heavy on helichrysum and pomegranate seed oils. I also put gold leaf in the scrub, so it truly gives you that golden goddess glow.
I’ve decided to sell it, as all of my friends and family members who’ve used my scrubs say they’re better than anything on the market. That’s because of the quality of the ingredients I use. I didn’t begin making it as something to sell; I began because I wanted organic products for myself. I’ve yet to calculate the cost of it (mathing numbers bores me, but I’ll sit down and do it), so stay tuned for that, as I get ready for market. Right now, I’m giving jars to friends and supporters (until this batch runs out), asking for reviews in exchange for, or drop me a tip on this piece. I have a limited number of jars in this teat batch, so if you would like to acquire a jar of my magic for yourself or someone you love, leave me a comment, and we’ll figure out how to securely exchange the requisite information.
I’m required to have six hindred words to post this in the Blush community, where I think it belongs, so I’m going to ramble a bit, maybe quote some folks while I’m at it.
Sugar scrub is fabulous for your skin, exfoliating and moisturizing in one go, while you’re in the shower or tub. Sloughing off the dead skin reveals your new, shiny skin, and sugar isn’t a desiccant like salt is, so it doesn’t dry your skin. The olive oul and essential oils moisturize and fragrance your skin, leaving it soft and supple. You’ll smell and taste good enough to eat, but don’t use it there; it’s not made for skin that delicate.
I’m having a book launch next month (the date on this flyer is wrong), and I decided that it would be a great idea to have some companion products, and the sugar scrub and bath salts are what I created images and labels for, although I’m stingy and won’t be offering my bath salts just yet. For now, they’re just for me and mine, and they are sublime, turning the tub into some miracle moisturizing goddess soak. They’re that good, and I’m not offering them until I have enough to not cut myself short.

I feel like a lot of the different things I’ve been doing over the years are coming together, and I’m excited about my next chapter. My goal is to attract a publisher’s attention and really focus on my writing, but as of now, keeping a roof over my head prohibits leaving my paying job.
If you lime fiction or poetry, please check out some of my other work here on vocal. I’m a loose cannon and intend to remain one for as long as possible.
Embrace your inner goddess and give yourself that golden glow. Goddess Glow luxury sugar scrub will make you feel like Aphrodite, and you’ll smell divine as well.
If you’re interested in trying a jar of my sublime scrub, please leave me a comment, and I will respond. I’m Dena Brown in Lowell, North Carolina on Facebook (and to the pollsters and revenuers) if you want to connect there.

Author note: I apologize for rambling, but I didn’t want to let word count force this into the wrong community. Thank you for reading, and please check out my fiction. I’m excited about everything I’m currently working on.
