Do you know that there is actually a biographical motion picture about the lip sync group Milli Vanilli? I must tell you that the movie is really well made. I enjoyed the movie very much. It was cool. Believe it or not the true Milli Vanilli that being the studio singers who provided the vocals for the songs that the duo who were the face had lip synced to produced the movie. I found the movie by chance on my television and i had to see it and also i want to say that i am glad i did too. If sometime you get the chance it would be worth your while to check it out.
It is well done and very precise about the history of Milli Vanilli. Really, it was a movie a long time in the making and now many decades after it has arrived. To be honest with you and to be fair the movie is told from both sides of Rob and Fab and Frank Farian the producer who created the duo in the first place. Also it is rather intelligent to have the dialog in both english and german.
I said it once and i said it again Milli Vanilli should be known as pioneers of lip syncing because nowadays every artist is lip syncing in the industry it is now a practice that is common place. I know that they voluntarily participated in Frank Farian's scheme. Today lip syncing is a commun practice. Another thing that i want to say Milli Vanilli should be given their Grammy back.
Rest in Peace to Rob Pilatus who passed many years ago. This movie has a great feeling of nostalgia and it is a trip down memory lane. If you are looking for something with retrp style and fashion you should see it if only to just enjoy the great fashions of the time and that had t0ok place. The music is there and all of their songs that they were known for are also in the movie. You know how when you are doing a autobiographical movie about artists they are not always done right. With the Milli Vanilli movie the story is accurate and also there are no discrepencies in the film. I applaud the writer and director of the motion picture Simon V. He understood their story and made a well done movie.
After I had seen the movie I was recommending it to others in conversation and otherwise. It suprised me to discover that there is even a moview made about Milli Vanilli at all. This movie has my approval and two very enthusiastic thumbs up. Anyway what more can be said about Milli Vanilli that had not already been said? Their Behind the Music episode on VH1 done in 1997 would be one of the last interviews that Rob Pilatus would ever do before his passing a short time later.
The faces of Milli Vanilli Rob and Fab were actually club dancers that producer Frank Farian had found and decided that they would be the perfect faces for what he was creating. The reason why Rob and Fab were put into this is due to the fact that the studio musicians and singers who really did the music and songs were not image friendly unfortunately. So this concludes my review of the Milli Vanilli biographical movie called "Girl you know it's True". I had been meaning to write a thoughtful review for quite some time and now i have gotten the chance to do so with this article you are reading.
