When Love Is Quiet
A poem about love without noise

When Love Is Quiet
Love isn’t always fireworks—
sometimes it’s just the way
someone remembers
your favorite things,
or listens all the way through
even when you talk too softly.
It’s not always loud,
not loud like music at parties,
or dramatic like movie endings.
Sometimes it’s small—
a text that says “made it home,”
or a smile saved just for you.
It shows up
in the days that look ordinary,
in the way someone makes room
for your thoughts,
your fears,
your ideas.
Love isn’t rushing or chasing—
it’s steady,
like a light that stays on
even when the rest of the room
goes dark.
And sometimes,
the strongest kind
is the one that grows slowly—
not rushed,
not forced,
just real enough
to stay.
