Once, in a quiet village, there lived a kind farmer named Ben. His fields bloomed with golden wheat, but every year, sparrows would eat some of his crops. Frustrated, Ben set up a scarecrow to keep them away.

One morning, he noticed a tiny sparrow caught in a net near the scarecrow. Instead of anger, Ben felt pity. He gently freed the bird, which chirped gratefully before flying off. The next day, to Ben’s surprise, the sparrows stopped eating his wheat. Instead, they perched around his field, chasing away pests that harmed his crops.

From then on, Ben and the sparrows became friends. He shared a little grain with them, and they protected his fields. The village soon spoke of Ben’s bountiful harvests, all thanks to his kindness to the sparrows.
