In the stillness of pain
Unrequited love remains
In the stillness of pain and peace, a tale unfolds, Of a man, his desires, and love untold. He sought comfort in transient delight, In the shadows of the night, under the moonlight.
Unrequited love, a silent plea, A heart yearning to be free. He offered friendship with benefits to share, But the benefit for her was sparse and rare.
She yearned for more than fleeting pleasure, A love to hold, a heart to treasure. But he was a bird, not ready for a cage, Their desires were mismatched, not on the same page.
In the quietude of her solitude, she found her grace, In the mirror of self-love, she met her gaze. She realized her worth was not for him to appraise, Her heart was a poem, not a mere phrase.
So here’s to the woman who found her peace, In letting go of a love that would never cease. To the man who couldn’t see her worth, She found solace in her rebirth.
Unrequited love, in pain and peace, resides, But in its stillness, strength abides. For every heart that loves in vain, Finds its rhythm in life’s refrain.
