Surreal Observations Inspired By The Gong Song

Introduction

I don't know what this means. This is the first verse of the song

There is a feeling we all know

Something happened long ago

When you remember who you were

Makes you what you are today

You are a kite upon the wind

Blowing through eternity

And you were always meant to fly

You are a wingful of eyes

It has been on my player for a few days, and every time I listen, I wonder if it means anything. It may have been a misheard quote or something but started me thinking.

For Some Reason

I started thinking of realistic surrealist art, the furst coming to mind being Savador Dali.

The Metamorphosis of Narcissus is a favourite of mine equating Narcissus with a hand holding an egg.

Relativity was the inspiration behind the Goblin King's lair in the film Labyrinth but there are hundreds of his painting that I could have included here.

Golconda by Belgian surrealist RenΓ© Magritte is another favourite of mine which I once turned into an animated gif, but I found this animation online.

Conclusion

These are three of my favourite surrealist paintings, although I know there are thousands of others, but "Wingful of Eyes" made me think of them and I still don't know wht it means.

Thank you so much for reading.

Wingful of eyes reminds me of the descriptions of seraphim and cherubim in the Bible.
